I'm probably being thick, lots of snow on top, but I'm confused by the t&c's. Web page says £2.99 per month but when checking terms it says monthly normally £30. first 3 months free then I assume there is a refund of £279 providing you remember to sendbills in. Still can't get it to make £2.99.Where am I going wrong?Down south where, unfortunately, the government does remember us.0

Go to special offers, then click on the NEC E616. there is a link to the t&c which brings up the following:
The first 3 months of half price line rental is free from the network and will be credited to your bill. i.e. you pay £15 per month for the first 3 months, then £30 per month for the remaining 9 with a cheque for the remaining discount of £279.12 by sending in your 4th, 8th and 11th airtime bill.
Here is the full T&CTerms and Conditions -NEC E616 £2.99 line rental for 12 months

The tariff and additional bundle options selected may not be changed after connection.
The 12 months half price line rental offer is only available on the Talk + Text 600 tariff, with line rental of £30 per month.
The offer will be made invalid if you change your tariff.

Where is the offer? I can't find it anywhere.0

On CPW the offer is under "featured sections", then special offers. Left hand side of the 3rd row down.
To get the cashback you have to get there via https://www.linemypocket.co.uk
(original post amended with direct link)how good or bad is the 3 network now?
THREE have improved a lot over the last 12 months - I now get reception as much as with other networks (but i am in london). THREE have just won the What Cellphone network of the year so they have to be pretty good these days. Personally I have no complaints.0 -

Hi. My experience of Three is mixed - I would rate it as 'good' when you consider that I got a similar deal for £0 (100% cashback) over Christmas - I think it is definitely worth £2.99 a month.
I live in Leeds and have been connected to Three for 4 months on the E616. The phone is ok in general, but a bit slow to respond to menu-navigation at times, and the battery only lasts 24-36 hours between charges (which you get used to). The Three network is good 90-95% of the time, but sometimes the signal drops and sometimes the phone can't dial out first-attempt. This happens to me once every 2-3 weeks.
If you consider the special offer, I think it's worth the gamble, but I'd not pay full-price for the phone or service.
Hope this helpsSmile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0 -
Thanks for this OP. I phoned them and ordered one just now, should hopefully arrive on Tuesday. £2.99 is avery good deal. I got the same deal 6 months ago but with a nokia 7600, a bluetooth headset (which I can use on the NEC E616) and for £4.99 a month from e2Save - who I wouldn't go back 2, even though they've got the same offer on, but with some extra accessories and I'd even get £30 for recommedning myself! With CPW, it's so much easier, I can just into their store if I have any problems0
