15%per annum fixed term savings rate

I have some money that i am able to tie up in a fixed term savings account,
my dad has just recieved his matured account in December from a company that is offering up to 15% per annum interest on fixed term accounts.
My dad's account was an account with fixed interest over a 10 year period at 10%per annum, he received his matured account on time and to the value that it was quoted when he opened the account. the company in question is not a member of the FSA, should they be? do they need to be?.
I do not have any concerns of any sort over the company they have delivered what they said they would and when they said they would and i am aware of other people who are dealing and dealt with this company and all are delighted with it, mind you with interest rates like that i hopefully will be.

If you don't have ANY concerns, why ask about the FSA?
I think, at least subconciously, you realise this sounds a bit too good to be true. Which it is...

If they are UK based and offering deposit accounts to UK residents then they should be FSA authorised.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
