12 Month Free Line Rental Offers
Anyone seen any good 12 months free line rental offers? I know what happended to FWD Cellular and am prepared to take a risk.
I've seen the offers at talkworldonline. The phone needs to look like a phone i.e. not the 7600 as it is for my wife. Low usage but can't see the point of a PAYG if you can get a good 12 month offer.

I have asked a similar question here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=35291
As I have not used this company I would be a bit wary of using them based on the fact that it is cashback. I hope the get some feedback about Simply3G or a deal from a company who are tried and tested - fingers crossed someone will come up with the goods.Your really can not beat a good bargain !!!0 -

Seriously, Normski...beware of the confusion marketing put about by the vast majority of mobile contract retailers. Talkworld's deals are a classic case in point.
I won't go any further into detail here but you should read an article I put on my site - it explains why Talkworld's deals aren't quite what they seem on the surface and it also contains a comprehensive list of truly free contracts (free in that, after full cashback is taken into account, you will have paid out the sum total of nil after 12 months on the same tariff and you will be free to cancel the contract at that point and walk away):
Note: For all the free contracts listed in the article linked to above, non affiliate links are provided and well signposted.
For the record, anyone who wants to attempt a cut and paste and complete reformat of the information contained in my article for use on this thread is more than welcome to do so. Beware though...the tabular information will have to be done by hand.

I would strongly advise against buying anything from onestopphoneshop. You'll only regret it later. I can honestly say they continue to have the worst customer service for the last few years.Try e2save.com for one of the cheapest dealers who are very reliable. They're owned by carphone warehouse so you're safe. Try http://www.e2save.com/mobile/phones/disphandset.php?network=three&handset=8120 for example. You can sometimes find cheaper deals elsewhere but I can rarely recommend the dealers.0 -

Lately e2save are getting some bad press across the net regarding not paying up commissions and cashbacks.
On this forum there are some threads discussing this:

Yes their customer service is poor. However, do you expect to get free phone, free line rental and the best customer service? :rotfl:0 -

I just got a Motorola V545 for my wife from OSPS. 11 months free line rental, good quality camera phone with bluetooth and quad band. Total cost over 12 months will be £23. Tarrif is Orange 100 x network anytime minutes which suits her as she isn't a heavy user and doesn't text much. Its listed on the front page if you're interested.
Cashback is at 6, 9 and 12 months with a 45 day period in which to make the claim.
I found this by way of the link from Reestit Muttons website0 -
Avoid E2save, their customer service is non existant..and DONT expect any referral money, because they dont pay out. :eek:0
