Hi folks, Asda are apparently selling a 15" Onn LCD TV from tomorrow (15th December) for just £100. The original cost is £148. The offer is only on for about 1-3 days can remember which, but sure they will sell out on first day at that price.

do we know if they have a similar larger one at a cheap price?0

Hi
do you know if this can be fitted to a wall rather than base mounted?
thanks in advance0 -
Does anyone know if this LCD TV includes a digital tuner or is it analogue only? I hope it's digital but there's seems to still be a large number of new TVs on the market that only have analogue tuners, despite the fast approaching switch off date.
Thanks0 -
I think if it was Freeview (digital), then that would have been emblazoned all over the promotional literature!0

And it's 4:3 aspect ratio by the looks of it. Who wants a 4:3 TV nowadays?Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0

I saw this TV last weekend in Asda but it was badged 'Dual' with the 'Onn' price ticket. Looked quite good - definitely not with Freeview built in. Dual used to be a quality brand name in the HiFi world. I still have a Dual turntable deck. Badge name probably means nothing today.0

Ok I walked to ASDA just to look at it. I don't even want one!
It looks pretty small to my eyes, like an old-style 14" screen
No Freeview built-in (Asda do have a separate decoder for £21.97)
It's square not widescreen
Resolution 1024X768 (not HD, no HDMI)
It will wallmount, no bracket included. Looks like VESA 100 to my eyes. IT's very light, wouldn't need a heavy duty bracket.
The picture looked "OK for £100". Nothing to rave about.
It's currently in store at £148, they have dozens piled up by the door, presumably ready for the price change tomorrow. No one else stopped to look except me:-)
They have a 17" widescreen, which is almost the same as the 14" but wider, at £199, and then a range through 20", 26" 32" etc IIRC the 32" was £389 I could be wrong. I doubt these are being reduced as there were no piles of them on the shop floor.

Would this have a scart on it? (Would be solely for connecting to a games console)Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0

It did. I accidentally pulled the one out on display while looking at the mounting screws, and one of the assistants thought I was trying to steal the TV. I explained I was on a fact finding trip for a internationally renound group of shoppers. :-)0
