How much have you spent today Sunday 3/12 & the new Sun-Fri challenge!

Good morning lovely DFWs :)

I hope you are having a relaxing Sunday!

Please, no need to congratulate me on my early start this Sunday - we have the Commander to thank  He brought me toast and coffee in bed at 8am and silly me, I thought there was no alterior motive! I was up and packing by 8:30 :( 10 days to go...

Well, today will be a non spender as the schedule only has packing and cooking lunch. Last week I did well with the challenge and I will aim for no more than £15 again this week.

Now lets have some updates please :D and the new budgets for the week.

I know this time of year is hard for many of us so it's more important than ever to set an amount and really go for it! I love the signature tracking and I know it helps me to keep on top of the challenge so use it too if you can.

Anyone else that wants to join in, please pledge your spending amount for the week and off we go :j

Have a great day everyone and keep it low!

Moozie x

Reminder for me: Mrs(no)Money aka Banana Lady is in for £20 this week.

hiya Moozie, pssst - does the Military Commander know that's his name?? ... & if he found out, would he make you do those pushups??? gosh this packing thing's been a saga, hasn't it? must feel like running a marathon!! At least it will all be over soon ... :T :T :T:beer:   (I've been where I am for five and a half years now, you forget what it's like, don't you?)

anyway, this week I will have to set quite a big budget as have a catchup with a friend who I haven't seen for ages (which I will try to keep under £20) and another Xmas do thing to go to as well that will necessitate some outlay, so I will set it the budget at £50

Well must admit to having fallen off the wagon lately, didnt help that I got paid extra from my new job and so silly me has just had £'s signs in her eyes all week!

I could have paid off quite a bit with the extra dosh so I'm gonna have a figure out where its all gone and see what I can adjust on the ol' spreadsheet.

I'm going to aim this week for no more than £30, sounds like quite a bit I know but I've literally got to get some last bits for xmas, like the wrapping paper etc. Plus I'll also need some food for this week, gonna try my hand at some more meal planning this week and see where I get to!

Will also no doubt be spending some dosh on medicine as I have woken up to a completely lost voice! Had a sore throat for a few days and no it ha just given up completely! :) oh well....

Today I plan on spending.......... nothing! I am not leaving this house!

Hope everyone had a good week and have a brill sunday!

Cathy, I just mentioned your message to him and you know what he said? You can say goodbye because the Military Commander says that's the end of your break!

We moved in this unfurnished flat nearly 8 years ago and we have a lot more stuff now than what we did then - despite my minimalist approach following ebaying many things :D

Catchup with a friend sounds lovely. Hope you have a nice time and lots of cghatting!

  • Wow, Moozie, that packing seems to be taking ages. We are hoping to move sometime in the next year and I am almost changing my mind thinking about how much effort it seems to be!
Having said that, it will be a lot easier than it would have been this time last year due to the quantity of stuff i have sold on ebay!

Have had a "good" week this week - good in terms of spending anyway, only £4.47 out of my £10 allowance. Not so good is the fact that haven't had time to spend because work is so hectic and stressful! Roll on December 22nd!!!

Anyway, all after school clubs are finished now so will cut allowance slightly for this week - will try to stay under £7.
  • £120.78 was my Sunday to Saturday amount last week. That includes absolutely everything (food, travel etc) but it's still £20 over my £99 limit.

Hoping for a no-spender today and maybe Friday as well. Need to do a fair bit of travelling this week, so I'm calling £95 for everything for the next seven days.

Apart from what was budgeted for (furniture etc) I spent £36 wohooooo!!!! That is £24 under target for me. Anyway this week I am setting a target but without food costs as that's on a seperate budget now, doing the monthly challenge on the OS board. The children have 3 appointments this week so will need parking fees, petrol etc, so if I can do that and any extras like the swimming etc for under £45 I will be happy.

Today my aim is to spend nothing, not done that this week yet, DP is out all day, I'm home with the boys and it's pouring down so don't want to leave the house. When he gets home we're putting the Xmas decorations up so at the minute I am clearing all the toys, books etc the boys have draged downstairs to their rooms (they are helping but only in small amounts) Got enough washing to keep me busy all day. Trying to decide what to make for dinner, tempted to try my new slow cooker out.
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
