how do you make these?

from what I gather you dip the spoon in melted chocolate but how do you hold it to dip? how do you wrap it?

AFAIAA you only dip the spoon bit in chocolate - the handle is choc-free so you hold that to dip it.

Why would you want to give or receive them? I'm really confused. Is it a special collector's spoon and the choc is just a novelty addition? Or is it a joke? Why isn't it something edible coated in chocolate?

  • I think they might be used to stir a hot chocolate drink to add a bit of extra chocci-ness (but I'm not sure).

A Few Years Back.... Quite A Few !!!!!
I Bought Some Choc Dipped Spoons In Bhs, They Had Different Flavours, You Can Use Them To Stir In Coffee Or Hot Chocolate, I Remember The Amareta One Was Yummy !!
So If You Are Going To Make Some It Might Be An Idea To Add A Tipple Of Something To The Melted Choc First ... Sluuurrrppp !!!!

But in that case, why not coat a cinnamon stick or something similar? I'm finding it really hard to see the point!

I was going to have a go at these too.. I think it's just a novelty idea, something a bit different, they look quite nice packaged up.
