What are your criteria for inclusion? It's just that I note that ICICI has (understandably?) been omitted. It does have a guarantee.
Good work btw. :T0 -
Can you add the A&L Direct Saver and ISA to the list?0
-
Hi Stutster, I missed ICICI out accidentally.
Longwinded reason of why they were missed: I worked out the above from using the older August rate rise list and updated the info using moneyfacts. ICICI weren't on the old list (as their guarantee didn't require them to raise rates in August) while moneyfacts don't list ICICI.
KTF, I'll double check any missed accounts soon, don't think A&L have a rate guarantee? Best to check out thisismoney's interest rate update page, moneyfacts, moneysupermarket or the provider for individual accounts."The state is the great fiction by which everybody seeks to live at the expense of everybody else." -- Frederic Bastiat, 1848.0 -
Bump, plenty of activity.
Cahoot have been naughty, according to moneyfacts they've only increased by 0.20%, the minimum Cahoot could increase by under their guarantee and the first bank/bs not to pass on the full rise. A slight silver lining is that the rate increase was applied yesterday (but like the last rate rise no sign of this on Cahoot's website yet)."The state is the great fiction by which everybody seeks to live at the expense of everybody else." -- Frederic Bastiat, 1848.0 -

great work...is there any indication of what Cahoot are likely to do once the "promise" ends?
thanks.0 -
ICICI have put up their rate from today, quite good actually, other banks tend to take a while to do it, Kudos to them!0
-
Should the Coventry First account be added to this list?
Great help this, by the way. Thx0 -
From the Coventry First website...A guarantee that the AER (including the bonus) will be 0.60% AER above Bank of England Base Rate for a year from the date your account is opened.0

On the other side of the coin, I note that Halifax has been very quick to hike its mortgage SVR by the full 0.25%, as per.
Let's see how long it takes to adjust its mainstream savings accounts. I would suggest that they've all been caught on the hop by IceSaves immediate announcement, and will have to increase rates earlier than they would have 'liked', to stem an outflow of funds.0 -
I assume that 1 December will be when most of the rest up the rates.
