My wife went to Cardiff Cineworld tonight to see Marie Antoinette with the printout from online. They told her she wasn't on the "guest list" and they had two pages of names. What the heck? This wasn't an offer where you had to fill out your name, it was one of those that you print out the web page then bring it to the box office. We went to the box office earlier today and they just told us to come back and show the printout and we'd get in.

    Who would I complain to?

    We went there too! ;)
Enjoyed the film - a nice change, at the end of a very stressful day. :o
Looking forward to seeing 'A Good Year' tomorrow. ;)

We were also at MK for Step Up. I really enjoyed the film, but my teenage daughter didn't. It was good to see that almost every seat was taken for a change - normally it is almost empty.

I have noticed that too - it was nice to see so many people enjoying a free screening. :D Maybe they were all MSErs?

hiya- can you please tell me how i can get hold of movie tix in Milton Keynes?
    thanks alot!
  • Just thought I'd share my thoughts - saw 'Step up' tonight in Covent Garden, cinema surprisingly full (almost no seats left)

I thought the script was awful - predictable and obvious. It seemed like a bad episode of 'Fame' from the 1970's but slightly more updated. Same premise too - school of the arts, broken dreams, auditions. At one point my friend predicted the next line of the character on screen !!

I also didn't believe in the main male character - I don't think anyone would be that dumb in todays day and age - I blame the writers not the actor. The actor was good, in fact all the acting was fine. I wonder if my 18 year old niece might enjoy this film - maybe it's aimed at teenagers.

The music was great and the final scene choreography was fantastic - but early on in the movie, I did seriously consider walking out, as did my friend.

What did oher people think ?
you know when you're getting older - the wife says, "let's go upstairs and make love" and you reply, "I can't do both" !!

I also went to see step up this evening and thought the plot and script were pretty poor as well, but to be honest I wasn't expecting much. It was VERY predictable, we thought it was a rip off of fame, mixed with dirty dancing and a bit of save the last dance. It was aimed at young teens though, and so I just enjoyed it for what it was - some nice dancing..
