Yes great browser you can customize it using themes aned extensions to downlaod are automated bookmark backups, dictionary, sppofstick (shows you spoof sites). It also has tabbed browsing so no more extra browser windows if you perfer.

    Also more secure than IE

It's a nice browser. Javascript console is much more informative than IE. Tabbed browsing is nice too. (been able to do that for ages though with Opera).

    Some cool plugins as well.

We use Firefox now after having to reformat a PC because it was riddled with spyware. So far, so good. I prefer it to IE but you have to give it a fair try - for example, the toolbars needed a bit of tweaking to get them how I wanted them. I like the add-ons, for example, the search bar thingy where you can choose your search engines and do quick searches. I haven't explained it very well but it's useful!

I still use IE for a couple of sites that don't work with Firefox but that's all.

  • And most of the sites which wont load in F.F will if you use the extension IE View.
Can't think of any reason not to use F.F.

My only gripe is that I can't buy my lottery ticket online with it, I have to switch to IE, other than that I have no complaints.

THE WHOLE COUNTRY SHOULD USE FIREFOX

then maybe people would concentrate on designing sites that work in it.. it really really pisses me off when important sites don't work in mozilla - when mozilla is the browser that works with standards best - the job centre job search doesn't work which is stupid - as that's a government site they should know about accessibility laws!!

If you're getting firefox you really must get the ieview extension.

All it does is put a little option in the right-click menu so that when a page won't work right, you can right-click and select "View this page in IE"

It's a tiny extension that does a tiny thing but it makes using firefox painless because you can move so quickly over to Internet Explorere when things don't work
