17" TFT MONITOR £130ish (and other bargains).
There seems to be a real bargain bonanza on at one techie website at the moment, including 19"TFT at £220 including VAT and MP3/VCD players at £16. Some of these are refurbished, but it is well worth taking a peak.
I've ordered from there myself and was so impressed with the speed of delivery i thought i would write a note on it. It's called www.aria.co.uk. Though with these things you have to remember sometimes leads, cables and stands mightn't be included.
For long time MoneySavers, the site sort of reminds me of the old SkyBuy clearance section, that was once a constant source of top baragins.
As always your thoughts, discussions and top spots welcomed.

There's a 17" tft at amazon as well for £140, it's got a 16ms access time and 450:1 contrast ratio. http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0006Z8JZC/qid=1107887285/ref=pd_ka_0/026-9822950-40764280

It'll be the same monitor. All these cheapies are by DigimateHug provider for depression thread :grouphug:
"I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell.." - Unwell by Matchbox Twenty0 -
Microdirect are also worth a look, as they are only 2 miles from Aria.
And there is always competition between both shops for lowest prices. As tight as two coats of paint0 -
If you're going to buy a cheap 17" tft I would buy the digimate L-1718, it's got a 12ms response time and 500:1 contrast ratio. Just over £150 at https://www.aria.co.uk0

Yes the 17" Digimate that Martin mentions is a good screen but the pricing and model versions on Aria is in my opinion confusing....
OK I am happy now but you may want to check out my posts in this thread - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=25359 to ensure that you get exactly the right model that you want.0 -
ordered a 15in Dell TFT from them 2/3 weeks ago in their clearance section
( no cables, plain box )
seems fine ... £70 plus pp

The wireless router I also ordered went back as faulty - awaiting refundAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
Another site that's tried and tested and I have used for over 2 years is
https://www.ebuyer.co.uk they are very good on returns/crediting account replacements etc. too0 -
I agree they're cheap - possibly the cheapest I've seen. But when it goes wrong, returns take ages - I'm still waiting for an RMA number for an order that was placed mid January. Google for 'ebuyer' and see the hoards of websites offering opionions on their customer service - my advice: steer clear.0

Be sure to do your research on the screens first if you care about good image quality, or gaming etc. I was at Microdirect today and asked about the 10ms iiyama on their site which is very cheap. I was told that he thought it was only a 6bit monitor, or something. And others can be 8bit. So the colours aren't as good. He wasn't sure it was 6bit though, just a feeling he had.
I've been on the look out for a 17-19" TFT for a couple of months now. I want one with a response rate of 16ms or lower, and DVI.
The point is..do your research, read reviews, ask to see the monitors if you can.
Microdirect told me today they do not set up monitors to see for yourselves instore, however they do have 3 TFT's on display in store - one was a viewsonic, one a digital square, dunno about the other two.I guess the distance selling regs would apply if you ordered online so you could send it back within 7 days if you aren't happy though0
