kedgeree for bloke

I'm back!
And I'm hungry.
So, I was thinking of having a go at kedgeree. All I know is that it's got rice and fish in it. I've never eaten it, but I like rice and fish.
First I need a list of ingredients. Then I need someone who's seen my previous threads to tell me if it's out of my league.
I plan on shopping tomorrow, probably cooking on Monday, or Thursday.
Then I will need a [STRIKE]risk assessment[/STRIKE] detailed set of bloke-style instructions.
I have had a look on the mega-indexed thread but can't find owt.
As before, thread will be updated to the point of me being stuffed. :j
Who's with me then? :rotfl:

If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

Can I just sit back and watch this thread evolve or should I contribute? Kedgeree not being my thing.

I've got kedgeree planned for tomorrow so this is what I will do.
Well to save me writing it out I see Manta's Kitchen has a version very similar to the one I use so I'm sure this will do.
The number of hardboiled eggs is optional, I don't usually use curry powder so will throw in cummin, coriander chilli to taste though curry powder is fine but some people will pass on the curry flavour and go for parsley/coriander.
I've got some Tesco's half price boneless kippers to use up so that's my fish base.My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program

mrbadexample - you are a star...!
I am watching this thread with interest - Mr Piglet is a chef (and not here at the moment, but if you haven't had a recipe posted by the time he gets home, I will ask him to give you a recipe - with bloke instructions!!).
Rice and fish is great - I love kedgeree (I don't know what Mr Piglet's recipe for kedgeree entails exactly...I am a lazy non-cooking Piglet!!..., but I know its jolly good and very yummy!!).
Hoping we don't get as far as you getting stuffed...but I am with you!!!

I don't know, is the fish smoked?
I have some Tilda pure Basmati rice.
I have a thingy of Morrison's hot curry powder. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Ooo, Kedgeree, yummy! It's basically curried rice and smoked fish with chopped hard boiled eggs. The linked recipe from Manta's kitchen looks fine to me, and is easy enough for a man! Use the whole egg though, extra protein. The fish should definitely be smoked. Enjoy.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0

Best with smoked fish. ie smoked haddock.
Basmati rice is fine
Curry powder is fine.
You will need eggs. To either hard boil and serve in the kedgeree or you can scramble and serve with the kedgeree.
Chicken stock.
Single cream optional.
Spring onions or onions.
