Hello everyone a010.gif. Welcome to the weekly spend challenge. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.

On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track.

This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever. clapping.gif

Moozie was the founder of this challenge and here is a quote taken from her around last year

The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anything else. Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!! Moozie x

Good luck everyone.action-smiley-033.gif

    Afternoon budgeteers,

Another Sunday and the beginning of a new week. I was green last week woohoo:j:j:j. Need to keep up the momentum so I am going for £50 this week. I do not have much planned so shouldn't be too hard. Also if I make myself go to the gym I always spent less money.

Things are looking good this week as we are all greens so far. I have updated the results and pledges from last week's thread. Let me know if I have missed anything.

If there are any newbies or lurkers out there, state your amount for the week and become a budgeteer, we are a nice bunch, honest :D

My usual £80 again please. My week started as usual on Friday so shopping done and £39.49 left for the week. I will only need to buy salad stuff the rest of the week so I should have a bit left over for paying off the cc. Only have £173.93 debt but it does need paying off asap because I have a few birthdays coming up that will swallow large chunks of my weekly allowance.
Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot.

Can I be put down for £70 for next week, please??? Will be a challenge to keep to this as we have 2 nights out and needing a decent size shop too. I include all groceries and petrol in this figure too, so fingers crossed for a good result!!!

Ooh I've already spent £10 of my £20!
I'm 6 months pregnant and cannot manage wearing heels at the mo, so I've spent all winter in my ugg type boots and am now utterly fed up of them! So I bought myself a pair of flats :D
