Hi Everyone
Hope you are all well?
I am still very thankful for the mealplans now that I'm back at college. They are saving me a lot of time, effort and money so are well worth doing
This week we are having:
Monday - Chilli & Rice with Garlic Bread
Tuesday - Fish Goujons, New Potatoes and Salad
Wednesday - Sausage Pasta
Thursday - Tortilla made with leftover new pots and Salad
Friday - Sweet & Sour Chicken with Rice
Saturday - Quiche, Carrot, Sultana & Peanut Salad followed by Ice Cream
Sunday - Lunch: Roast Chicken, Lemon & Thyme Stuffing, Roast Potatoes, Roasted Root Veggies, Green Beans, Yorkie Puds & Gravy
Sunday - Tea: Cheese or Lentil Pate and Crackers, Fruit
I am having a baking session on Saturday and hope to freeze some of it for later in the weel, Twinks, lemon drizzle cake, banana tea bread and cheese straws are on the list so far

This is what the champys are having:
Monday - potato bake with red peppers & blue cheese, salad
Tuesday - American style cottage pie, broccoli
Wednesday - kedgeree and cucumber salad
Thursday - pea soup with celeriac and smoked sausage (didn't happen last week)
Friday - pasta in lime-peanut sauce
Saturday - classic beef curry
Sunday - mushroom ragout or mushroom stroganoff

Posting my plan to see if I can do them and use up some of the stuff in my cupboards!
Fri (tomorrow) poached salmon with peas and chorizo
Sat - out
Sun - my mums (I think!)
Mon - lamb and butternut tagine
Tues - Coq au vin (hm from freezer)
Weds - sausage jambalaya
Thurs - Chicken and chips
Fri - rainbow trout - prob with potatoes and veg
Sat + Sun - not sure, whatever is left over!
This is just for me and I'm scaling the recipes down for 1 and they are more a loose guide to what to do with my ingredients than I have all that stuff:cool:! I've not done them before - but if they're not too much of a faff they may appear more regularly!0 -
Sunday - roast pork from the freezer with HG frozen beans, the last of the cabbage in the fridge, Farm shop carrots and potato from our sacks, gravy and yorkshires - OH insists:D
Monday - Sweet and sour pork with rice - from leftover roast meat
Tuesday - HM potato and leek soup with whoops freezer bread ( OH works late so tuesday is soup night.
Wednesday - spicy chicken wings, HM potato Wedges and ketchup
Thursday - stew ( we bought a slow cooker this week:T so its the maiden voyage next thursday - stew with farm shop veg, HG onions - still storing well from last year, and stewing steak from farm shop
Friday - HM pizza using mushrooms, Lidl mozzeralla, rest of jar of tomato and olive stir through pasta sauce as base, some of proscuitto ham brought back from last trip to spain - in freezer
Saturday - OH cooks - chicken and leek pasta bake, with HM garlic bread
or Baked farm shop spuds with rest of stew over top ( if there is any left after OH has seconds:eek:

Hi everyone
didn't do too badly last week, but OH decided he didn't fancy monday nights dinner after a trip to the dentist, but instead of a takeaway we ended up in waitrose buying very tasty premade pies, mash and veg (very very:o:o but still spent less including a bottle of wine than we would have on a takeaway:o)
The plan for this week is
Mo 8th spag bol
Tu 9th pork chops, saute spuds &greens
We 10th something with fish probably-thai salmon noodles maybe, or possibly a veggie thai curry
Th 11th shepherds pie, veg
Fr 12th pasta, peas, beans and pesto
Sa 13th ribs, sweetcorn &jacket spuds
Su 14th boiled bacon, greens &mash (or roasties?)0 -
OOh just to say that poached salmon with peas and chorizo looks good, and I have loads of chorizo that I need to use up, that might be wednesday's dinner0

Hi everyone
Ive not realy done a meal plan before as I usually just take each day as it comes but will give it a go this week and see if it helps
Monday 8th, Toad in the hole with mash and curly kale.
Tuesday 9th, chicken (chicken breasts in freezer) korma and rice.
Wednesday 10th, HM chicken nuggets (other half of chicken breasts already in freezer) and potatoe wedges and sweetcorn.
Thursday 11th, boiled gammon with mash and baked beans.
Friday 12th, this is usually a day when my lot get their own as I work all day and evening and I will prob have beans on toast.
Saturday 13th, Rost pork, roast potatoes, carrots and peas.
Sunday 14th, Chilli and rice or spag bol (not quite sure yet lol).
I will see if this helps with my busy lifeSunday I usually do a lot of bakeing too so will be some bread and cakes for the week
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing

I actually stuck to last week's meal plan with no changes at all, for the first time in ages. Let's see if I can do it again this week!
Friday - not sure yet - a planned night out with friends got cancelled, so I'll just see what I fancy in the evening (it might be lentil and veg curry. Or it might not!)
Saturday - chilli cheese burger and salad
Sunday - jacket potato with chicken, lentil and tomato sauce
Monday - cheese and tomato pasta bake
Tuesday - pork, leek and taleggio risotto
Wednesday - chicken kiev, chips and beans

TUE- Rib Eye Steak with sauteed mushrooms & HM Peppercorn Sauce / Garden Salad ~ Honey Mustard Dressing / HM Garlic Bread
WED- Grilled Pork Slices / HM Mashed Potatoes / Carrots-Green Beans / Gravy
THU- HM Grilled Cheeseburgers with various toppings & sauces / Chips
FRI- HM Tuna Pasta Bake / Spinach-Corn-Broccoli
SAT- Chippy Fish~n~Chips /OR/ Subway
Teas will include: Bacon Rolls / Waffles & Maple Syrup / Cheese On Toast / Tuna & Sweetcorn Sarnies / Fish Finger Baps ala JamieO / Any Dinner L/Os not earmarked for main meals Baking to be: Bread, Rolls and a nice cake for the weekend (Goodies now restricted to weekends only). Cooking/Making Ahead to be: Hamburgers for the freezer & spiced stewed apples for freezer.0
