Hi everyone, hope you are all well
Doing slightly better on the old meal planning-although we were away last week, have pretty much followed the plan for the 2 nights I had planned:rotfl:. We were supposed to go out wednesday night for OH birthday, but he decided would rather stay in with a roast FR guinea fowl and a nice bottle of wine, so that was :money: and the guinea fowl-although appearing tiny, provided enough meat for 2 large roast dinners, about 4lots of sandwiches and some shreds in broth, along with all the pickings! Carcass made 3L of very delicious stock-most of which became broth, but there is 500ml in the freezer.
It seems the secret of us following the menu plan on the nights we both work late, is not just menu planning, but ensuring that we have the meal READY to just stick in the oven at 7/730 when we get in(tuna pasta bake last night, made on wednesday, and shepherds pie tonight from the freezer-yay go me:beer:)
This weekend (27th/28th) we are both working, I should be home for dinners etc barring emergencies, but OH is in office-so he will be mainly eating frozen leftover/readymeals (HM of course:p) and I will have broth/omelettes/pasta that sort of thing
Have meal planned for all of march, but no doubt there will be subs, so just taking it one week at a time
