My friend told me that her mortgage advisor has told him that as well as contacting his employer to verify salary details they also contact the tax office and national insurance. Is this a new thing or have they always done this? I don't think they did when I applied for my mortgage but didn't want to argue as I wasn't 100% sure. Would they have had to tell me if they did?

They have always done this if they think it is necessary to do so.

They will also send your application to the National Hunters Limited and only when they decide that it's not dodgy will you get a mortgage. Sometimes the NATIONAL HUNTERS GET IT WRONG and you are screwed for 6 years but hey, thats Life I suppoose

You have an axe to grind - I sympathise.

However hijacking others threads is not going to help you resolve the matter really, is it?

  • What a stupid comment. If I can help others who clearly have a problem with something that they dont understand then what the problem. As it happens, I was alerted to the NATIONAL HUNTERS on this site by someone who "Hijacked" my thread. I was very grateful. You see the point?
  • You clearly have no concept of this site have you? The whole aim of the site is to offer an all informed site so that a wide range of users can benefit from it. Idiot!

    Oh dear!

    So eloquent.

Maybe you need to read the Forum etiquette... seeing as you are so well versed on what the board is all about

By your posts you are feeling very aggrieved etc regarding your experience. However over the last couple of days your posts to some FTB's could be seen as alarming...I was going to post this yesterday but gave you the benefit of the doubt "bad day"...But now herbiesjp has picked up on it I also feel I want to mention it. You're probably acting in good faith to "warn" people, however as I have said it could alarm some people.....Peace Man....
  • Any thing that I have said about National Hunters is accurate and true, in fact most has been taken from official sources. Yes it is alarming isnt it, but not offensive, just the truth. I do however apologiese to Herbie

    Good man :)

If you feel that strongly, why not ask the board to make it a sticky at the top of the board - just a suggestion.
