For all free seed addicts the BBC will be launching their new Dig In Campaign for 2010 on the 1st March,
You wil be able to order the seeds online from the 1st March onwards
or follow thier schedule to pick up seeds from their van (if your lucky enough to be near where they visit)
join their newsletter and you will receive an emails advising you of their events and other growing information
The seeds this year will be
Blue Lake French bean
A super-productive climbing bean that will give a heavy crop of long tender green pods with just a bit of care.

Black Beauty courgette
Heavy cropping and quick to grow, just a couple of plants will keep you in courgettes all summer long.

Thanks for the reminder - was only wondering the other day if they would be doing it again this year. Still have my tomato seeds from last year to use up. Will make sure I get my order in for this year early so that the seeds don't arrive too late to plant this Spring. I remember mine took ages to arrive last year.0

I had the same problem with late seeds, If I remember right they didn't have enough seeds and had to reorder and thats what caused the delay
Thanks to friends and family I ended up with half a dozen packs of bbc tomatoes so I should be ok for the next decade or 2 for tomatoes0 -

As my first year growing in pots in my yard, my local library are doing a seed swap next week. I've been cheeky and asked if they could possibly save me any, on the promise that I contribute next year! think it's a great idea that they do this.0 -

They will have a schedule on their website but I would sugest ordering them online once they put the order form up on the 1st March0
