Hello everyone
. Welcome to the weekly spend challenge. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.
On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track.
This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever.
Moozie was the founder of this challenge and here is a quote taken from her around last year

Evening budgeteers,
I was green last week which is good. I am pledging £20 for next week but I am not counting anything I spend until I return to Glasgow tomorrow afternoon (I am in Arran at the moment).
I have updated the results and pledges from last week's thread but let me know if I have missed anything as I am on a netbook that only has a tiny screen.Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

Hi pointypenguin, thanx so much for starting this week's challenge. I've pledged £4 for this coming week.
Thanx so much. I'm going to Cardiff to see John Barrowman in Panto next weekend so need to save my money for a weekend with 5 friends in Cardiff.
Cheers
Casper

Good morning everyone!
Ponity - can you show me green with a spend of £12 last week please - yay!
This week 'll pledge £150 as I have to pay an annual sports club fee, and I'll have to do a big grocery top-up shop as the cupboards will be bare very soon.

Hello, thanks for doing this again. I know I say it every week but this challange really helps me.
I think this is my 4th or 5th week now of doing it and I have only been over budget once (by 50p but still over budget). Once, I even had a no spend week and got purple YAY.
There seems to be more people doing this challange every week now.
Good luck to everyone.Mortgage FreeSave £5,000 in 2020[CENTER:j0 -
