Flour, eggs, mixed herbs, chopped tomatoes, worcester sauce, tomato puree, garlic (I buy bags of frozen cloves from my local indian store) beans.

If I have these in stock I know I can make a meal out of anything.
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

You mean apart from essential staples such as flour, rice and pasta? Hm. Tinned tomatos, various oxo cubes, cornflower, tuna, mixed herbs, ready mixed curry spices, tomato puree, soy and worcestershire sauce, ALWAYS cheese and eggs in the fridge,

    and of course - C H O C O L A T E. :-D

Did you mean ingredients like pasta etc, or did you mean the little extras that you add to recipes? I'm guessing the little extras.

Off the top of my head:

    Cooking oil
Dried herbs - start with mixed and add others gradually
Curry powder or jar of paste (I like Pataks)
    Chilli powder
    Garlic
    Worcester sauce
Ground almonds (seem to crop up in lots of recipes)
    Cornflour
    Tomato puree
    Tinned tomatoes and/or passata
    Stock cubes
    Soy sauce
    Paprika
    Mustard
Campbell's condensed soup - I get it when it's on offer. It is cheaper than most ready made casserole sauces, useful if you're in a hurry and don't want to faff with a proper recipe.

I started making a list and gave up as there's just too much to put on it :o

Just as an example, I have 7 different vinegars, 5 oils, 4 mustards, about 30-40 herbs & spices and all the usual sauces/stock cubes etc before we even start on baking stuff and tins and packets

It's certainly made me think that i should make a list though for my own benefit so if I get a round tuit I may post it ;)

indian spices - list too long to put here but basically if its indian i can do it;)
kidney beans and chick peas (dried)
    porridge oats
    plain and self raising flour
    olive oil
    brown sugar
    salt
    black pepper
some dried herbs but i grow lots of herbs in my garden - including a fantastic bay tree
    olives
    capers
    tomato puree
    eggs most of the time
stock cubes - vegetable and beef
    soy sauce
    chilli sauce
I notice others have included wine etc, that is separate, but i always have wine, champagne, and enough spirits/additions to make a cocktail.
Right, who's for a vanilla coffee vodka milkshake? ;)
