Hey folks,

We are launching a new, free, online budgeting tool, hopefully in this week's email. And that means we really need some MoneySavers to put it through its paces, testing it and trying to find any bugs!!

Here is the link: BudgetBrain

Won't give you too many hints on how to use it, as hopefully that will be obvious, and if it isn't then your feedback will be very valuable!

Please let us know what you think!

    Hi

The questionnaire worked until the very end when it didn't process - but then if I manually clicked through it worked.
    My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Total £4151.44 | £2900.30 of £7051.74 paid off since diary started October 2024.

    It's a shame I always spend more than I budget for.... :D
  • I like how it now has links to the various articles telling me how I could save money on each category - that's really smart
However, I do not like how I can only get to the Check your Spend section.
Once I get to here I just have the top menu bar thing, a blue box saying about how this isn't financial advice and don't steal Martin's name with a big white space underneath, Also the scroll bar to go up and down the page has disappeared
Sorry I'm not very good with the technical names for things but hopefully that's clear

P.S. I'm using Google Chrome on an XP machine - maybe that's relevant?
Just started cashback-ing - makes me feel less guilty when I impulse buy!

    As above post.
Can fill it in ok but when I click the "check your spend" button no result is given just a blank form.

    Browser IE7

    Edit:
Having closed the window then reopened it using the link above, no new data entered, the "check your spend" page now works and the final page is also displayed correctly with all the figures previously entered.

seemed to work ok, except the last page, it told me on the middle/big section that i was spending more than my income, then on the right the box said well done for spending less than my income and how i could spend the extra money (i don't) have

Had a quick play in firefox and it seemed to work...as I was doing it only quickly I only put rent and mobile down but it came back saying
You spend most money in the 'In Your Home' and 'Education & Courses' categories, so pinpoint these to make the biggest savings, when you do the money makeover.

Couldn't work out where it got the education bit from??
