Vodafone Top up and Go - 30 day expiry back?
Comments
-
As i understand it is just the initial £15 that comes with the Vodafone MBB Dongle that lasts for 30 days..... I might be wrong though.
Best to wait for the Vodafone Rep to confirm.0 -
It's a bit confusing as one part of the page says no expiry and the another part of the page says, "Go online for 30 days from when you top up".
I think it would be a backward step from Vodafone, if they took off the no expiry on top ups.0 -

According to that the stick comes with a top up of £15 which lasts 30 days.
Any top up you do on top of that £30 does not expire until you have used it - well thats my reading.0 -
Hi Vodafone Reps,
Can we get your thoughts on the above question?
I picked up a copy of the January edition of the Vodafone mag from the shop and it now shows Top up and Go customers get the following.
£15 top up last 30 days
3GB allowance
Its on page 8 of the magazine.0 -
Hi all,
I understand why this page and the magazine would cause confusion and I have called the project team who manage Top Up & Go to find out some more information.
It seems that the page is awaiting an update and as of the 26th December we introduced the new Top Up & Go service. This service will work in the same way as it has previously, however those of you who have joined us after 26th December 2009 will notice that Top-Up's are only valid for 30 days.
We are still awaiting clarification on how this will effect customers that were connected before the 26th December and as soon as I receive any more info, I will be back to let you know.
I trust that this has helped a little and will post further info a.s.a.p.
Thanks for your patience.
Cheers,
Espi

wow that's a big step backwards from Vodafone, it was the thing that set you apart from the rest. The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible.

Hi Espi,
As Dime Bar has said this does seem a big step backwards as the no expiry date for mobile broadband top ups made Vodafone stand out from the rest of the operators.
It'll be interesting to see how you get on re the customers who have had their account prior to the 26 December 2009 - I await your response.
If you can feed back to the powers at be that this move to introduce expiry dates on the £15 top ups is a bad idea, i'm sure many other MSE will agree.
Thanks again Espi and look forward to further info.

Thanks Espi, agree that this is a big step back, especially since you have only one choice of topup amount.0

I agree. The big USP of this service is no expiry time on top-ups. I purchased one for this reason; so I can use it occasionally when out and about.0

not sure if i thinking of the same thing but just taken from the tesco web site who are still selling this dongle
Vodaphone Pay As You Go Mobile Broadband dongle gives you broadband access at speeds of up to 3.6mbps, without a fixed contract or direct debit, giving you freedom and flexibility to use the internet where ever you are. Includes £15 of top up already loaded, giving you 1GB credit straight away with 270 days to use it in before you need to top up again.0
