Hello everyone a010.gif. Welcome to the weekly spend challenege. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.

On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track.

This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever. clapping.gif

Moozie was the founder of this challenge and here is a quote taken from her around last year

The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anything else. Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!! Moozie x

Good luck everyone.:T

    Morning budgeteers,

I was red last week due to many nights out:eek:. I am trying to make amends this week, I have £32.50 for my weekly budget. This needs to cover any exciting adventures today (it is raining a lot here so that should help) and also I am going to see Biffy Clyro tomorrow so may get a drink or two there. Other than that I have no plans for the week so this should be possible. This budget is to cover incidental spends and entertainment but not things budgetted elsewhere such as food and transport.

Gah - budget = £31.18 for last week. Spends = £32.14. So close, but mark me red!

I shall be back later once I have sorted the MOUNTAIN of washing out and counted what's in my purse :D

Argh already spent £35 of my £70 budget, but food and baking supplies bought, now I'm keping £30 for a night out next Saturday, so it'll be NSDs for me this week, saving £5 to buy a feather boa for the night out- good luck all!

So close yet so far. I have opted to go to the cinema now and do chores latter me thinks this is a bad plan but we shall see.

Also today has been a NSD as it's too wet to leave the house.

It has been raining lots here too I wonder if there is a guy building an ark somewhere

No spends from my weekly budget as cinema snacks came from the food budget and I am now home and not leaving again due to the weather.

  • yup NSD for me too, I would pay to stay in on days like this... if I wasn't on a NSD challenge!

Already £2.59 into my spends - leaving £27.41 for the week. I know I have £20 on me, and I'm going to try not taking my card with me either, as I know I have about £2 in my purse for emergencies. Luckily it's independent study week, so I don't need to be in a lot (or spend a lot!)
    ** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **
    ** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
    **SPC 2012 #1498 -£152 and 1499 ***
I do it all because I'm scared.
