So close yet so far. I have opted to go to the cinema now and do chores latter me thinks this is a bad plan but we shall see.

What are you doing on your night out it sounds exiciting?
    Hi PP

I'm off on a Hen night with some girls from work- its a moulin rouge/ red and black theme, but the feather boa is a must, we're eating then going drinking, I've worked out £20 food and drinks in restaurant, and £10 drinks over the night, my DH will be driving me n and picking me up, so should be doable. Hope the cinema was good!

  • Sounds like it will be a good night. I must say I am getting to the age now where everyone seems to be getting married.

Cinema was good I went to see Zombieland and would recommend it as a good funny brainless film.

Huh - red for me last week. I spent around £32. Grrr. Well done to the greens and especially true and ETO on your purple weeks .

This week I am setting a slightly higher budget as I'm out of the office quite a bit and always spend seem to spend a bit more. So I'll go for £30 this week for all unplanned spends.

  • Hi pointypenguin

I'd like to join this challenge and have set myself a target of £40 for the week. I am going to Bicester Village with the girls on the weekend, but am not intending to spend alot of money there, mostly going to have a good day out.

    Cheers

Will try and pop in tomorrow, but re-reading the first post I am guessing the after school activities do not come out of the £50.
    Goodnight all xx

Hi toochosey and welcome to the budgeteers.

Its basically a case of including what works for you. But if DD does the after school items each week I think it would make sense not to include those (and to have a seperate budget for these) and just have this for unplanned spends and incidentals.

Good luck with your first week!
