Hi all
Am looking to buy a house..... cant find anything I like (had a purchase fall through on my dream house so am finding it hard to get anything that even comes close!).
Am registered with EA's etc but am aware of web sites that people use to advertise their houses privately. Can anyone tell me addresses of these web sites?
Cheers

to name a few... (i'm selling privately at the moment
)
Most of them feed through to fish4homes.co.uk but sites like rightmove only take listings from 'proper' estate agents.... not that being estate agent counts for much in recent weeks...!0 -

Thanks very much for those - handy for us too. Does anybody know of people who have managed to sell quite quickly on these sites, ie apart from no estate agents fees, is it really worth it. I do like the idea of writing all the particulars myself (ie one write up for family viewers, one for single/couple type things) so would like to give it a go.Annabeth Charlotte arrived on 7th February 2008, 2.5 weeks early

Not private sales but if you are trying to to find houses in a particular area try http://ononemap.com/ - it allows you to search by maps and shows houses for sale on specific streets as little red house icons. You can click on these and it will show you the house and its price with a link to the agent's site. It covers quite a few agents - at least always has a good selection in our area. Really useful if you are interested in a specific area - and great fun if you are just nosey!
