This challenge used to run every week (thanks to Moozie and PAP) but I have not seen it in a while so I hope no one minds but I need this to keep me on track ...

Hello everyone a010.gif. Welcome to the weekly spend challenege. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.

On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track.

This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever. clapping.gif

Moozie was the founder of this challenge and here is a quote taken from her around last year

The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anything else. Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!! Moozie x

Good luck everyone.:T

    Morning budgeteers,

Well I have been slack recently I am red for last week, I started well then it all went down hill at the end of the week. I must try harder this week, I have not much planned I think that was my downfall last week I went out too much.

OK going for £30 again this week to include any incidental spends that are not budgetted elsewhere.

Well done for last week everyone we have lots of green

    Hi all,

Can you put me down for £30 please? This will not include tomorrows groceries (Stocking up for the week) but will include anything that I spend on groceries from tomorrow until Friday as well as all Ebay postage. I have 13 items on the go, so that could be a big chunk of the challenge for me!

    Morning All

I have updated the first post. Hope you are all having a good weekend. Weather here is not great. Might go to a gym class with a friend and then to the cinema later but other that I'm not up to much so hopefully should be light on the pocket.

    Hi there

Can i join in with this? I only have £30 in my purse so can this be my total? I've not managed to keep a spending diary or watch what im spending so am hoping by posting on here that might change things.

Im off to a car boot sale today so may have some spending there and i also need to get some shopping but i wont be including the shopping.

  • I was red last week, must do better. Could you put me down for £15 this week? And this time, I have to stick to it. I don't have any more. :(
