Change the back box to one that has at least a 150mm bore tail pipe :D

Heard drilling some holes in your air filter box makes it more noisy. Also maybe removing the back box on the exhaust.

    you serious about these suggestions?
drilling holes will accelerate corrosion and render the exhaust useless - it'll fail an MOT and require to be patched or replaced meaning drilling the hole is/was pointless (and illegal)

removing the backbox????? another MOT failure. The system may be airtight but I thnk that could be another MOT failure. The volume of an exhaust may not be an MOT failure but the police may be inclined to pull you in if it's too loud and instruct you to get it fixed. A few years ago my exhaust snapped and i arranged a replacement at the local garage. the police pulled me in as i entered the garage premises because the exhaust was so loud - they were confirming that i was getting it fixed.

The legal way to make it louder is to buy a sports exhaust or sports back box.

Personally i think it makes cars sound like they're being driving by 17year old chavs who think their car is the dogs bo****ks. Most of the time their car is worth more as scrap than as a car.

Keen photographer with sales in the UK and abroad.
Willing to offer advice on camera equipment and photography if i can!

    Doh.

If they are stupid enough to do this then I suggest the person doesn't drive.

    What engine is it?

The new 2.5 doesn't sound anywhere as "throaty" as the old 2.0.
