As the title says where do people think we are.
Personally I think financial wise we are past the worst companies and jobs will be lost but I think we have got past the very worst of it.
Edit.
Perhaps I should add that my veiw is based from the people I know who were mainly hit early on and are slightly improving and personal experience.

Only Just StartedWe havn't seen the bottom yet, (not that it's too far off) and after that recovery will drag on for years.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0

MiddleThis is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.0

Did you say that with your best Churchill impression?stephen163 wrote: »This is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning. Unfortunately I feel we are on a knife's edge. Banks' financial problems have been transferred to the state and it is not yet clear that the state can carry the burden.0

Only Just StartedNot being picky, but what do we mean by "the recession"?
Two consecutive quarters of declining GDP - is the common description, but it could also be a widespread decline in the GDP and employment and trade lasting from six months to a year or lol, even, the third album by rapper Young Jeezy, released on September 2008.
 For instance:
Do I expect to see unemployment rise from 2m to a whole lot more - Yes! But is that a recession?
Do I expect more businesses to have vastly reduced turnover and inventories, and many businesses, small and large - to close? Yes, but is that a recession?
Do I expect those parts of GDP to grow - those previously established on widespread credit, on credit which is no longer available. No, but is that a recession?
I could go on - but I think a lot of people, and a lot of businesses are in for one heck of a tough time, and for quite some time - is that a recession?
If it is - that is why I have voted as I have.If many little people, in many little places, do many little things,
they can change the face of the world.

Read my first post. (The recession means recession, the one we are in! in reality GDP as been decline for longer than we have been official in recession)
We will be out of recession before it will be officially announced.
Why be funny on such a plain and simple thing no one else seems to have your problem with it.
Bold bit is the UK official description not the common.:)0
