Default 1000 Free Boots Advantage Card points for random card holders

I found this on the Advantage Card kiosk instore (looks a bit like a Boots ATM machine)...

200,000 lucky Boots Advantage Card holders have been pre-selected at random to receive 1000 AC points which is equivalent to £10 to spend on products in Boots.

To find out if you are one of the lucky 200,000 head down to a Boots with an Extra Offers kiosk, put your card in, look through all the offers and follow the on screen instructions, you'll find out instantly if you've won and will be able to print out a voucher to be presented at the till, no cash alternative.

This offer is open to all who have a permanent Advantage Card as of 1st March 2009. Closing date to pick up your points voucher is 19th May 2009.

Good luck and please report back if you are one of the lucky ones.

Official MoneySavingExpert.com Insert:

Many thanks to geordie_lass for the top spot. There are 14 million Advantage card offers. If you're one of the 200,000 winners, points can be spent on anything in stores (not online) except of gift vouchers/cards, baby milk (up to 6 months), prescriptions, mobile phone top-up cards, stamps and insurance or at Boots Opticians.

Of course Boots is doing this to get people to go into stores, and to start using the promo machines more. Its quite an easy to spend in shop, so do decide whether you 'need' anything before walking in and checking out whether you've got the tenner.

You can read more about increasing your loyalty points in the Boots Treasure Trove guide.

I'm going to pop in after work tonight, I've been meaning to buy some more hairbands, too, so this will give me a good excuse! Thanks to geordie_lass, great find! x

Apparently there are 200,000 people pre-selected.

Also many people are getting vouchers in the ACM for a free Highlights powder, (remember those?) when you buy any No7 product, and other freebies too.

The offers on the ACM this time round are pretty good and some good instore promotions too.

If anyone needs help to use their vouchers to their best advantage then join in the fun on the Boots thread (it's a sticky at the top of Grabbit)

Default Update To Boots Advantage 1000points Offer

Hi everyone,

Just a quick heads up as I visited my store in Leeds at lunchtime with everyone from the office's cards and put them in and got the following message:

Sorry the competition will not be available until 30th March. Please try again next time you're in a Kiosk store. Competition closes 19th May 2009.

I asked the SA and she said there had been a 'technical hitch' but to come back on Monday.

Just so you are aware and don't make an 'out of the norm' journey like I did and end up disappointed.

:-(

Ah well, that makes a good excuse for a trip to Boots on 30th March! Thank you!

If you can't get it free, find it at a discount. If you cannot get it at a discount, don't buy it, but wait until you can find it free or discounted!
