Great item - I got two bundles yesterday...Can't comment on the USB things as I won't be using them (Selling them on for £25 to make the routers a bargain £25!).

Make sure they give you sealed items,I saw a few that had "customer return" written on !

Been for that price since early of the month (IIRC) if you do collect@store from PC World website. Got mine for the same price mid of the month using collect@store, but saw the ad scan this week saying that it will price match it own web price .. Anyway, its good router and if you're thinking of flashing it with third party firmware, make sure you get the V4 one since V5 uses different firmware from the older releases.
  • Great products, easy to set up and works well.

You need a cable or ADSL modem to use this product for internet. There is a version which has a cable or ADSL modem built in but this one is NOT it.
  • Got one of these last wekk and I must say that the router is fab. Excellent signal strength, better than the belkin and netgear products I have had.

Also for any brave people you can upgrade the firmware with one's from other companys to add functionality, such as being able to play xbox games online without having to subscribe to xbox live & much more

    See

    http://www.winplanet.com/article/3078-4405.htm for firmware
    http://texas.teamxlink.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=52072 got xbox stuff

also to help anyone configure their router & software try

    Have fun

I doubt anyone can answer this....

How powerful is the signal from this router compared to the 802.11b model (BEFW11S4). The reason I ask is that I have had to move my existing router out of the study (it has now become the nursery) and the NTL broadband cable can only stretch to my cupboard. Not the best location - but approved from the wife!

The reception can occasionally be average to poor. Ideally if this is more powerful I will buy.

Had my BEFW11S4 for 3 years and rock solid.
