This poll is regarding the Co-operative £100 incentive. Please use this link for general account discussions and use the poll only to indicate whether or not you've received payment..
There seems to be some inconsistency between who has received their £100 incentive and whether this is related to how you originally applied for the account. It's been suggested that a poll might help to identify if there is a trend, e.g. that telephone applicants are being rejected. Although the offer was stated as being for branch-opened accounts only, many depositors have said that they were told on the phone that they would receive the incentive.
Although the cut-off date isn't while 22 December, please vote in the poll as of the day you read it, even though you may receive your payment later. If you say you haven't received payment yet and receive it in the next few days, please post a note to say so.
The poll will expire on Monday 15th to give people adequate knowledge prior to the official cutoff date.

So, we already have 3 people who phoned their branch and have been paid - maybe all is not lost. You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...:cool:0

Could the OP edit their poll question so that the 'have' received are all in the top half - and vice versa?.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0

The theory was that going into a branch got you the payment, but phoning up didn't, therefore I expected to see line 1 longer than line 2; line 3 shorter than line 4 and line 5 shorter than line 6. However, we are now seeing success over the phone to a branch number, which is an encouraging thing to see for those of us still waiting.
I do however still expect to see 5 shorter than 6, as I don't think a call center could ever be considered a "branch application"
My goal was to compare success vs failure within each class of depositor. Changing them round would just compare which method gave the best chance of success. You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...:cool:0 -

I would class a phone call directly to branch as a visit to branch, for the purposes of actually getting the incentive...confirmed by the poll results so far.
I expect to see option 5 remaining at '0' until such time as people have made official complaints, and sat out the requisite 8 weeks. After all, anyone who applied after seeing it reported on this site will have/should have read the first sentence in the first post of the original thread, which said...
"This offer is only available in the branches and not telephone banking although you can phone up the branch and apply over the phone."
PS: Poll layout fine with me.0 -

My second theory is that they're paying out in batches (confirmed) based on how close to the Ts & Cs you sailed; e.g. people who looked as though they were going to stay get paid first and those of us who followed the rules, but only just, get payed at the end. Personally, so long as it happens, I'm not bothered and no-one can say anything until after the official close-off date.PS: Poll layout fine with me.You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...:cool:0 -
got my £100. check the linked savings account they set up when they set up your current account as that is where the £100 incentive money was paid into. :beer:0

Is it true that only 15 people took up this offer?
C'mon you lot - let's see the proportions then - it's not a public poll so no-one knows who's answered what. You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...:cool:0 -
Opened mine in September, nothing received yet but on the leaflet I picked up it said all payments would be made by 22 December so I am waiting till then to chase it up.0

Wife and I went in to branch on same day, both transferred in 3x800 and set up a tenner a month standing order.
She has been credited about 3 weeks ago, I haven't yet...
Where have people chased?I think....0 -
I'd forgotten about this poll! OK, not a great deal of response but it does highlight that it makes no difference whether you walked into a branch or phoned the branch, as of the poll period you had a chance of being payed or delayed by both methods (as should be the case).
Also, as expected, anyone phoning the call centre was excluded from the offer by virtue of the Ts and Cs.
So I guess those of us still waiting () just have to wait while next Monday and see what happens then...
Thanks to all for voting. You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...:cool:0
