lilmissmups £20k in 20mths moving on diary!

As i am now debt free i have decided to start a new diary to help keep me on track with my plans to buy my first home with OH.

We have been living together 5 years and rented but i hate renting and want our own home before we have a baby so the aim is to save £20000 in 20 months or sooner!

So aim is to have the money by 20th May 2010 which seems ages away but isn't really! I started saving on 20th September and currently have £73.08 of my total.

Heres my SOA updated as of today:

    My Salary: £1003
OH Salary £1120 (approx can vary on Overtime)

    Rent: £550 (OH pays 1/2 so £275)

    Electric & Gas: £42.50 (OH pays 1/2 so £21.25)

    Water: £39.08 (OH pays 1/2 so £19.54)

Council Tax £117 (OH pays 1/2 so £58.50)

    Sky: £20 (OH Pays 1/2 £10)

TV Licence £11.70 (OH Pays 1/2 so £5.85)

    Pet Insurance : £16.41 (OH pays 1/2 so £8.20)

    Internet: £7.50 (OH pays 1/2 so £3.75)

BT: £15 Approx (OH pays 1/2 so £8.20)

I personally also pay the following

    Mobile Phone Bill: Approx £25
    RSPCA Donation: £3
    Dogs Trust £4.34
    Braces £100

So in total i pay £542.63 per month and am left with £460.37 per month.

We also spend about £150 on groceries so i have approx £400 per month left to spend although i want to try and cut this down, not sure how yet though as i am addicted to Tesco clubcard and hate cooking so don't buy from scratch.

My loan amount was £250 and i still want to save that amount each month plus get OH to save that amount too, also any cashback/survey money and free bingo/scratchcard winnings are to be saved too.

So basically i will have very little spending money left each month :o

This personal challenge seems harder now i have written all that but if i can clear £7000 of debt on my own in 17 months i am sure we can manage it, well i hope so! :p

The council tax and water are paid over 10 months so in Jan and Feb i will have an extra £156.08 to save though :)

Well i added a whole 83p to the ISA today! :rotfl:

BUT then i wasted £15 on Mecca Bingo and spent £47 in Tesco (get £15 back for OH's beer).

Tomorrow has to be a NSD so i hit my 15 days on the NSD challenge (also so do Sunday,Monday and Tuesday) but Saturday i am going to town to get my hair cut and maybe buy a few bits from Primarni (Primark :p)

I am also going to pay in my £60 tax rebate into the ISA this weekend.

Oh yeah forgot to put i did a £4 survey from Itsyourview today so once that clears i have hit the £50 mark and they should send me a cheque next month so that can go into ISA :)

Not a lot to report today, nothing in ISA, i am waiting on £3 from my green metropolis book sale to hit my account which i requested on 14th September!

Had £1.13 turned to recieved today on Quidco but hoping Extrabet on my account is recieved this month too as it validated a couple of weeks ago as that will all go in ISA.

I like putting something in each day even if its just 83p like yesterday :p

I am going to pay in my £60 rebate tomorrow though plus £10 worth of 20ps :)

Getting my hair cut and might buy a few clothes tomorrow too so might be an expensive day!

Oops forgot to put i won a £10 amazon voucher today from Nielson Net Ratings (they are owned by P***c***) as i have some software installed on my PC which tracks my internet usage but it said it can take 8-10 weeks to be emailed to me!

I actually thought i had won a Travel Adaptor as you play games to see what you have won but the email came through saying i can use the £10 to buy a travel adaptor but its going towards xmas pressies.
