Default Cheap Gatwick Parking

I live near Gatwick Airport. Many of my neighbours have large drive ways and offer cheap parking with a drop off and pick service. It may be worth while trying a few google searches, or trying parkatmyplace.com (http://www.parkatmyhouse.com/)

We stayed at the Gables and it was fab, they provided transfer to the airport in the morning, we had to make our own way back but jumped on the train to Horley and got a £4 taxi from there. Around £80 for hotel, breakfast, 1 week parking and transfer there and back. Worked out great for us leaving at 5.30am!!

I have used them before at Gatwick and my experience was fine. All the car parks they use are well established ones.

Anyone out there ever tried Premier Meet and Greet from Gatwick? A bit nervous about using them as they only have a mobile number. Any feedback, good or bad, much appreciated.

Cheers.

smauchline, if you are nervous about using them, then please don't use them. You don't want to be worrying all through your holidays.

Btw, welcome to the forum.

Found a cheap site for Gatwick, Aardvark - Meet and Greet who are charging us £47 for a 9 night trip. The paperwork comes from essential travel.co.uk. Apparently Aardvark are now part of Meteor.
Has anybody had any dealings with them? We've only seen a couple of comments about them but all good.
This is the link if anyones interested -

This site, recommended by another user, seems to work - just found a week there with APH for £27, provided you have car breakdown cover (we've got RAC). Gives you 20% off - see:

Angry Valet Parking....be Careful At Gatwick

Booked a valet parking through a well known internet booking agent for Gatwick last month.

They sub contracted it to a local firm who said they were 3 miles away. They met us on arrival...no problems.

When we arrived back, it took them 30 minutes from our call to them advising that we had our bags. It was freezing cold (just above zero). Eventually, we heard our car skidding around the corner and racing up to us. The car was covered in bird mess (it had been valeted before we left home) and it had covered 31 miles since we left it with them...... so someone had been joy riding in it for 25 miles.(it was a Mini Cooper S so obviously too tempting for someone).

Moral of the story?.........try to take a boring car that will be of little interest to them and make a very obvious note of the mileage when you hand the car over.

The valet company did not live up to the SHINING image that their name portays. You have been warned.
