  • I'm doing a hamper for a ginger loving friend and wondered if anyone has seen anything nice on their travels? I've only just started it and so far I have stem ginger in syrup and ginger sauce. I'll also get some ginger nuts, posh ginger biccies (Duchy Originals I think) and some chocolate coated ginger from the health food shop. I'll make her a little felt gingerbread man and maybe put in a biscuit one too. I'll arrange it all in a nice basket and put some brown tissue paper around it and a big orange bow.

But what about something non-food related? What could I put in there? Any ginger smellies around?

    TIA :)
Cos I don't shine if you don't shine.
  • If you're putting in a gingerbread man how about adding this little rhyme (Jamtarts idea from the under £5 comp).....
    The Perfect man

And if he gives you any trouble,
You can bite his head off!

Search for ginger on Boots and it brings up several pages - I'm sure there'll be something there to suit, from scents and smellies to room sprays :)

  • The Body Shop sell quite a few ginger products, but they're a bit pricey - possible you could get 'em cheaper off ebay though. They also sell ginger home fragrance oil, which might be nice? Or you could possibly see if you can find a ginger scented candle - there's bound to be some around this near to Christmas.

first time posting and not computer savvy. anyhoo, ive used the boxes that the shops have for the bars of chocolate and sweets, the mars bar boxes are quite sturdy. just wrap them in christmas paper and fill up with the goodies. very cheap and your recycling as well.

I know I know.................it's food related, but we bought some ginger fudge from a farmers market and it was scrummy as heck!! ;);)

Okay to save my neck, what about a book about ginger, or print off some ginger facts, teas containing ginger, make up some home remdies using ginger, look out for stuff from Lush containing ginger???

    Am I excused now? :p
