  • Evening all.

Lots of newbies on here today so

    AnW's Mum - thinking of you:grouphug:

Had an OK weekend, although not too much flying/catching up. We've fitted some new curtains and blinds, but one blind was bent when DH unpackaged it, so that has to go back.

Our foster puppy left yesterday late afternoon, and arrived at her new home today. She's gone to live in Glasgow, so the couple who have adopted her travelled part way by train yesterday, then car with relatives, then back North, breaking the journey overnight and continuing by train today. They are a lovely couple and I;m sure she'll be very happy with them. They are already spoling her rotten, but the house is very quiet without her, in site of having my two!

I'm not sure how much flying I'll get done this week. Not only do I have tennis elbow again:( and am having an injection (4th one) on Friday morning, but I've also got Management reviews to get done for all my candidates, but I'll give it a go, if I only get level 1 done.

Magnificent Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room

    Level One
    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
    Level Two

Sort & clean fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front, clean out any spills or grots in there!

Wipe dining table.. (clean table cloth if necessary)
    Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
Clean out the cupboard full of baking bits.. or cereal.. or both!!
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. don't forget those kick boards..
Check those filters and drawers for ickiness, gackiness and fluff!!
    Extra Mission
    Choose one or more of:
    • Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
    • Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps.. a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk!
    • Clean oven if it needs it.. or just do the hob or just a knob
    • 32 fling boogie.. GO!
    • Empty the bin.. wash it out.. and make it smell SWEET

    BM
    Plan dinner
    Prep for work

Have a good day tomorrow and I hope to pop in after work.

:grouphug: to anyone who needs or would like one.

Pink Fairy that is a long way to travel, I suppose it shows how committed they were to having the dog, which has to be a good sign. Have a hug too, sounds like not such a good time of it for you with the elbow etc.

I'm feeling a little guilty because I got an email this week from a rescue I have volunteered to help before about helping them. Problem is at the minute I don't have the time, or energy to be honest to devote to another thing, aswell as that the landlady only accepted the pets we have at a push, previously it wasn't a problem. Suppose I should email them back tomorrow, keep putting it off, hate saying no but I think I will have to this time.
One day I might be more organised...........

tashja, minibudgetgal, niklepic, arlybarly, Davgirl1, skint_spice - welcome and have fun! What a lot of new faces!

And tashja hope the bug doesnt last too long
kdean - nice to see you back, hope you are feeling better

Justamum ((((((bug hugs)))))) about the ant-d's I so know how you feel. you are not useless and your friend is right, to go back on them is no way being a failure. If thats what you need to feel on top of things then do it, its much better to be on them and be happy and in control than be off them and miserable and losing it. You deserve to be happy, life is too short so if it takes medication to achieve an even keel then so be it. PM if you want to, any time.

We have inset day tomorrow so they are STILL OFF aarrgghh. Why can't they do inset days in the middle of the term as a nice surprise day off instead of making half term even longer

I was waiting up assuming DD2 would wake for a feed around 11.30 but of course typical, she hasnt. I just know as soon as I turn the light out and lie down upstairs, she will wake up .....

hex - did you decide what to do about a Diesel cake ? I was thinking there are two ways you could do it.
One is you could make a square cake and use grey and black and red and white royal icing to decorate the top to look like his face square on. This has a good pic of his face
Or you could just make a random cake, square or round or whatever, ice it with grey icing and use liqurice or black writing icing to put on a train track and just put a toy Diesel on the top. Let us know what you do!

Night night everyone, I've just finished doing the email, thinking why put it off until tomorrow when I won't have time? Then I seen what time it is, eeeeeeek! I have to get the boys to school in the morning somehow, fingers crossed DP might get up and help but I have about as much chance of that as I do plaiting fog!
