Hi – I’ve posted on this thread once before...I’m Tom – Head of Business Development at First Central Insurance Services.
I want to pick up on some of the comments made on this forum...
1)With regards to providing a ‘Driving Other Cars’ Extension on our policies I can confirm that we have made a decision to INCLUDE this additional cover in the near future. This requires certain changes to our customer documentation and IT systems and does take time I’m afraid – However, I’ll ensure that I will let this forum know when we can do this.
2)We have had queues on our telephone lines and I can only apologise to our customers for any delays they might have experienced. However, the team have been working hard to rectify this and I can assure that we are prioritising our resources to ensure our customers receive a better quality of service than they have been experiencing. We have doubled the size of our staff numbers in our Sales, Policy Support and Claims Call Centres - I understand that real improvements have been made and call waiting times are now much lower.
3)We have also seen great improvements in the time taken to process changes to policies such as mid - term adjustments and cancellations.
4)We DO listen to our customers and we want every 1st Central policyholder to have a positive experience and I can assure all readers on this thread that we are committed to making further improvements and enhancements to our service in the coming months.
Lastly, I’d also like to confirm that as a company we are not placing anonymous posts on this site.
Kind regards,
Tom

With most Insurers (Including 1st Central) you do not get a courtesy car if your car is a write off0

Well i one of the unlucky ones i was pulled over by police and when asked for insurance details i went to the station and produced my certificate the officer looked at it and then i was told not insured as there was no third party cover for driving another motor. I had previously phoned the insurance company 1 st central and told was ok to drive to drive another motor. Previously before the company said was ok to drive the car on my insurance after being pulled over i have phoned the company and said they could look up this phone call where i was quoted and told could drive on the existing policy. The assistant said i this was not the case but would review the phone call and phone me back within the hour waited all day with no call and unable to get though to this rather large insurance company. Any one else this stuck?

Hi guys, i just found this thread via "google search" on this company..
I joined this company in november, to renew my car insurance as fully comp! I paid roughly £87, and then the rest would be on monthly installments, well i just checked my online bank account and noticed they took out my first £34 monthly installment aswell as a further £20 ? Made me go into the red
I am also still waiting on documentation?
And now i am concerned because i to drive another vehicle (sometimes) And i was told by the adviser when i took this out, that i was covered for 3rd party?
I don't know how to get in contact with this company as i have had no documentation, i took this out via confused.com..
Thanks for any advice/help0
