Some people here are discussing whether Sainsburys take Tesco vouchers, and that is fine.
Other people here are discussing the use of Tesco evouchers which have been converted to Clubcard Deals and then using those redundant Tesco evouchers again in Sainsburys. When this was first posted around December time, the posting was removed. I would respectfully suggest that these postings be removed.
I personally don't think that what is being discussed here should be continued.0 -

Just used £205 worth in Sainsbury Huntingdon - no probs. There are lots of signs saying they accept Tesco vouchers.
Dollywop - Sainsbury can't claim the money back from Tesco in any event so it makes absolutely no difference to them if they've already been used. Tesco aren't going to care, so where's the problem?0 -

The problem is what is happening is fraud. Those vouchers have already been used and should be thrown away.
If anyone chooses to do this, that is up to them. I just don't think this should openly be discussed in this forum.0 -

Even though im all for doing this, it is possible that Sainsbury snidily piles them up then sends one of their employees to spend them back at Tesco! Maybe they are extra snidy and Sainsbury's game plan is to spend them in bulk on Tesco R&R products!!!!! Or the managers were planning on eBaying the working codes for more than face value! They say you can't put a value on life... but I live it at half price!0 -

In order for it to be fraud someone has to be defrauded. Sainsbury are accepting worthless (to them) Clubcard vouchers regardless of whether they have been used or not, so they are not being defrauded. Tesco are not being defrauded. Where's the problem? Can't see why it shouldn't be discussed - this is a money saving forum & using Tesco vouchers in Sainsbury is an excellent way of saving money.0 -

In theory Sainsbury staff shouldn't be able to use the vouchers in Tesco because they vouchers are only supposed to be used in store along with the relevant clubcard.
Also, the Tesco tills will recognise that the codes have been used so they can't be used again in Tesco.
If Sainsbury Managers (or anyone else for that matter) Ebays used vouchers, now that would be fraud (unless of course they state in their listing that the vouchers have already been used & are there worthless, except for spending in Sainsbury ha ha).0 -

Absolutely agree Chas, which is why I resurrected this thread the other day. Dollywops, are you one of those who believes that customers using coupons without buying the product are committing fraud (they are NOT) and that people who were knowingly overcharged in Tesco and claimed a full R&R refund were committing fraud (again they were NOT). In the same vein, no-one is being defrauded here either.
To throw these vouchers away when Sainsburys is happy to accept them AS A LOSS-LEADER would be plain stupid! How you can say that on a moneysaving site I do not know. Sainsburys do not care if you have already converted them to Deals, they just want your business and hope you will spend more than your voucher total, and/or return another day.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
