BUT I suggest then holding on to the paper vouchers instead of binning them as they could still be worth face-value at some Sainsburys stores. This would even be possible if you sell them on eBay as long as you're sending converted Deals to your buyer (and keeping the original vouchers).

Finally, no anti-coupon posts please (it's not fraud or even unethical)! Apparently a few Sainsburys stores are accepting these as a loss-leader, they cannot get any money back from them, they just want to see if they can get Tesco's business. Sainsburys won't care if you've already got Deals from Tesco, as Sainsbury's 'loss' from this experimental policy remains the same either way.

Anyone know which Sainsburys to go to?

Halifax is a bit too far for me, do Huddersfield take them (either Market Street or Shorehead Sainsbury's?)

Some Tesco's do accept these vouchers. My tips are:

1. Only use the self-scan tills: very few cashiers accept them
2. Spend £20.00 or more so the till doesn't beep at you. A message saying "voucher threshold exceeded" may flash up and a supervisor will have to come and type in a PIN number. They may also open up the voucher box and refuse to accept it.
3. Don't use more than one at a time.
4. Ignore the expiry date: I'm still using up some I got a year ago!

I have just phone the CS line. Originally I was told no such thing existed. So I said my friend definitely uses her cc vouchers in the Halifax store so he went away to find out some more info. Then came back on the phone with a list of participating stores. He read them all out to me but all the stores have already been mentioned in this thread.

Unfortunately I draw a line through my vouchers when I've exchanged them to keep track of what I've used. So I don't think I'll be able to use those. But it's definitely worth keeping the new ones and taking a drive to the nearest store (in my case a 45 min drive) to get a load of free shopping.

If in store the checkout assistant won't oblige getting CS to phone HQ should be enough as there definitely seems to be a list available of stores that do accept the CC vouchers.

Have just seen that my original query has been resurrected so thanks to everyone who responded, although not too sure about the converted coupons suggestions!!!!!!
thanks to everyone who suggested stores that take them (even if they are all miles away from me hahaha!) I don't suppose anyone knows of a store round manchester that takes them? I was going to ask in the one at altrincham as there is a massive tesco next door!

Has anyone spent CC vouchers in grimsby? its close enough to warrant a visit if they do accept them. Thanks for any info.

Also, I regularly spend sainsburies vouchers in Beverley tescos. They have posters up at the checkouts saying that they accept them. No hassel from SA's either.
