£31.25 per child for the extra passes.

We wanted to go frequently, that's why i'd been saving for them for so long, and also we have friends down south so we were going to use the passes for down there too. Suppose I have from now til march to start saving to pay the extra :o

I have seen people selling their vouchers on ebay before. Perhaps you would be able to save a bit of money buy actually buying vouchers to the value of the childrens passes and getting the seller to convert the vouchers into your chosen deals? That's generally how people sell them online anyway, as far as I know. :D

Eg. If the passes cost £240 in deals...... you would need say, £60 of Tesco vouchers? You could probably buy them for around £80 and the seller would convert them and forward the passes on to you within about a week or so. Just something to consider perhaps?

    HTH :-)

Will you have enough with the next lot of vouchers that come through? They are due next month I think. Also I believe that you would have even longer to save as when you send off your clubcard vouchers they will send you a voucher to exchange for the pass. This is valid for 6 months (I believe). So you could send off for some now to use the vouchers that are near to expiry and then send for more later. Then redeem them all for the passes at the same time. Maybe you should phone freetime to double check this I'm sure they will be happy to help especially as you have saved so long for them.

Very good advice Shop-to-drop. I wasn't aware that they did it this way as I have never exchanged deals for passes before.... but very good thinking :T

I have managed to save up (over the last couple of years) £136 in club card vouchers in the hope that I would have enough for the Tussuad's passes for 2 adults and 4 children. Unluckily I have only enough for 2 adults 2 children and some of the vouchers are due to expire in a couple of months. To pay for the other 2 children would cost me over £200, which is something I cannot afford to do. I really don't know what to do with them as most of the things I look at for a family as big as ours requires extra money which we just don't have, and having never used the vouchers for anything like this I am a little worried of making a mess and losing the money. Would I be better selling them on eBay? or is the days out option an easy thing to do?
    Thx.

An idea that may work. I've not tried it so I don't know how it would work

    Using Clubcard Deals Tokens

How long are Clubcard Deals Tokens valid for?Deals Tokens are valid for 6 months unless otherwise stated.

Can my Clubcard Deals Tokens be refunded?Unused and in date Deals Tokens can be returned to us for a Clubcard Points refund.

So buy the tickets, and if in 5 months time you still don't have enough points return them for a refund. The vouchers would be credited to your account and re-issued at the next mailing with a 2 year expiry date.

As I said at the start, I haven't tried this so I don't know how the points are refunded. An easy way may be to phone the Clubcard number saying that you've got some tokens that you can't use & ask them what happens to refunds, ie: how long the refunded ticket is valid.
  • Hi,

Only last week I booked a rental property in Italy using £600 of tesco vouchers total cost of property £1133, I made some breif enquiries to other agents but in the end booked with individual travellers the designated tesco agent.
I was very pleased thinking that I had just saved £600, my good mood quickly changed when another booking agent replied to say the week I was looking for was now booked but they could have offered it to me for little over £700!!!
    Has anyone used Individual Travellers?
I have approached Tesco but still being passed around.
If i cancel my booking I loose my £390 deposit.

    Any info very welcome.

I don't think there is anything you can do about it. Just forget it and enjoy your holiday. It's all very well the agent saying that if it wasn't booked they could give it to you at that price it is booked so they can't. A bad idea to do research on the price after you've booked. Try to forget it. At least you secured a booking before it was booked up.

  • can anyone help. I have a clubcard plus which I transfer money onto each month. Sometimes it is not always practical to que up to be served by a cashier so she can swipe my card (i.e the new electronic till won't allow this nor will the pay at pumps). I still have my old ordinary clubcard aswell, now will this card still be registered to my account, can I still use this to collect points with too?? Or will it have been cancelled when i got my clubcard plus?

Just cause at the mo with petrol with double points anyway, I would like to pay with my bank card and collect the double points too.....maybe using the pay at pump facility...

    Any ideas??
