Messi-Kris:
I would just call Ownhome and ask - that's what I did.
Just rang them and gave my postcode and she quoted one of my mates details to me who lives down the road so interesting to find out hes applying for ownhome also ha!
Anyways she said I only registered 12th June which seems strange as it was way before that... But didnt query it. She did say that funding is still available in most areas and that my application will go through but they arent taking on new applications but she didnt ask when from so it would be interesting to find out the date they so called stop taking on new applications?
Does someone want to give them a cheeky call and find out?:beer:0 -

Mary,
Not sure what you mean with that. Do you mean the signed papers to the co-op? They won't give you a final offer until they have the results of the survey, they have to know if the house is a good asset for their money.
I think I booked the survey in as soon as they told me I could to keep the process running. At every stage it's a risk, till you complete it's not written in stone.
What are you waiting for from the co-op?This signature was previously violated by my wife, that'll learn me to stay perma logged in.
Fortunately, the offending comments have now been removed - my apologies to all who had to read it and laugh at my expense.0 -

thanks i did call the solictor and she said to send it to her and she will send it to PFP. So what happens next. Iam really looking to move out by the end of this month, do you think it is achievable. I have given notice to my present landlort and basically i wll have no where to live after 29th of july so really hopping to get this done this month.
Do you think there is alot to left still.Hello,
I wondered this but asked my solicitor and pfp about this. My Solicitor told me to send this off straight away to PfP.
Your solicitor will have already recieved a copy of this document but some solicitors want to see the final document you sign, so you need to ask your solicitor if they want to see it. Chances are they won't but give them a call.

Mary as far as im aware it's not you who has to book the survey?
As i understand it and has happened with me once you've sent back the signed agreement with the direct debit stuff and your ID you then get assigned a caseworker, the caseworker will then look over everything and ring you back to ask if you're happy that a valuation is instructed.
The bank then instructs the surveyors who are called countrywide, countrywide call you back farily immediately to take the payment for the homebuyers survey (just over the £500 mark). Countrywide then contact your estate agent direct to arrange the survey and also send you out some terms and conditions to sign
Perhaps you need to contact the co-op to find out who your caseworker is and whats causing the delay? I found that hassling them on a daily basis seemed to move things along-my valuation was instructed on friday which was 1 week after they receievd all my paper work and ID, and 10 days after the original offer0 -

Yep I agree, this is what happened with me. You need to keep on top of them chasing daily - at one point Co-op were waiting for the surveyor and the surveyors were waiting on co-op, I put them both in touch.
Don't worry about hassleing too much just keep the process going. It's hard work! This signature was previously violated by my wife, that'll learn me to stay perma logged in.

Don't forget to sign it first!
It depends what you have done with your solicitor. I went into see her this morning and she had a lot of paperwork for us to sign, both for the co-op and PfP Also we had to sign the contract.
What happens next for us is that My solicitor is contacting co-op and PfP and the seller to confirm that funds can be transferred soon and arranging exchange.
She also asked me if I had anything I could give as a deposit, she wanted as much as I could offer so she could offer that to the seller. I gave £100 just in case your solicitor asks the same thing.
But she did say it was possible that exchange could happen by the end of the week depending on the seller.
So yes, in short it would be possible for you to complete in July - it just depends on other people! and Places for people like to leave 10 days between exchange and completion. (Though my solicitor said as long as they have 10 days notice it is usually possible to exchange and comlpete on the same day with these housing association buys)This signature was previously violated by my wife, that'll learn me to stay perma logged in.

Hi, Just to let you know. We are based in the Essex area and I have just rung Ownhome who still do have funding available and have quoted a waiting period of 12-14 weeks. We applied in May and the gentleman on the phone said to expect to hear at the end of August. Hope this helps.0
