any tips anyone? my stomach is HUGE and it HURTS
If it's aunt flo visiting, try a nice, hot bath Valli, that always works for me (gives me about an hour of peace anyway).
Sometimes you just have to take some time out to help yourself - I know you've probably got loads to do, but if you feel better, you'll do more, so go and relax, warm yourself through and sit in the bath with a nice book and a glass of wine - hugs hon, take care... xLBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -
Valli ((hugs)) hope you feel better soon, my lot had the wommit bug over Xmas last year, not fun, hopefully you'll be ok soon
sexymouse, men just aren't observant, maybe show him your ticked off list? you brave girl doing 3 shops!
soappie, I have lace ribbon which looks cack and some baby blue stuff which I use for hanging things, just found the string in DPs garage covered in oil.....so nope
Wow Flower that's not cheap at all for restaurants, suppose with the exchange rate being useles it doesn't take much! I did get the laundry done but not doing great on the living room, it's better, but not what I want. I will get it cracked tonight! Oh and cards on their way to your Mam's, I've put your name then C/O your Mam so she knows they are for you
DPs boss has left a boot full of presents for the kids again, DPs had to hide them in his car or he'd get noones shopping in the cab, he's got tinted windows and a boot cover so should be fine. One taxi booking for in the morning is Durham-Carlisle, I'd hate to guess how much that will cost!
Right that's it, nothing else for it.
I'm off to check one last time through fridge/freezer/cupboard and my list then off to brave the shops! Wish me luck! If I get sick I will be abandoning my trolley in the middle and walking out! Going to try Aldi first as it's usually quieter, then Sainsburys if necessary (or Mr T at 3am) again because it's usually quieter. Can't tidy because the boys are messing it up again so may aswell. One day I might be more organised...........

I'm back from my drag round Morrisons. I've made sure we've got all the bits we need. Up to DH now to do anything else. He is planning on Asda - again and Sainos later this evening. See told you he likes supermarkets.
I on the other hand might have a little drinky poos tonight. Do a bit of wrapping and just generally chill............ready for the mad last minute panic of tomorrow and Wednesday morning.:p I do like to work under pressure:cool:

That's the only problem this time - exchange rate is pants - it's only steak meals that are that much, hence why we're not eating out (50 euros a meal - I think not!) but most others are about 5-6 euros, makes it a bit easier but still prefer to shop in the mercadonnas and save money for going out and enjoying outselves - and I just make the kids wash up after so all good!;)DPs boss has left a boot full of presents for the kids again, DPs had to hide them in his car or he'd get noones shopping in the cab, he's got tinted windows and a boot cover so should be fine. Good luck Lil Me and anyone else who is struggling round the shops. I hate going with the boys so will be doing the village co-op and/or the farm shop. If they haven't got it then we are not having it. Only need veg, bread and milk really - and wine as DH drinks it as fast as I buy it.
Everyone is fed, just need to hoover once the boys have gone to bed. Need to wrap a few last parcels, and sort clothes for work/holiday club in the morning and then I can have a bit of peace. Might do HHI so that I haven't got a mountain to do in the New Year.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Woo hoo! :j At least the 2 big children are going to sleep at my parents tonight. Gives me chance to see what Santa presents I have and get them off to the man himself
This also means that in the morning it'll take us about 15 minutes to get out of the house rather than the hour is takes to get them all sorted and dressed in the morning!
Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

Made it to Leeds... got a text from my dad saying that my grandad had died (typical of him to choose THE most inconvenient moment in the year  )... did the year end review that had to be done, and discovered that because my secondee is on a different contract, he can't use the same online tools for his, and it isn't due until Jan 24th anyway!
It's a bit of a relief that my grandad has died, as he was just existing more than anything else. I think he was hanging on for his wife, who didn't want to let him go, but living had become very hard work.
Anyway, I'm not doing the morning I'd planned here, I'm going to drive straight back to my parents, as I think my mum could do with the company. So just caught up on the thread, and then off to the hotel for a swim and an early night!
Well done to everyone today, you've achieved a huge amount.
Whoever it was who asked whether the lists were just for those who stayed at home all day, the answer is that they're for all of us, you just choose what's manageable. Once you get on top of things, despite evidence to the contrary from most of us over the last few weeks, you can get most of the stuff on the list done either in half an hour or so daily, or a couple of hours at the weekend. Once you've got things up to a certain standard, it's relatively easy to keep them there. Of course, the moment you let things slide, it's back to the hard work for a bit!0 -
