I am thinking of getting this for FIL who I am giving my old laptop to. My mobile contract finishes in 2 months and I probably wont renew so will I still be able to get 1/2 price for the full term?
Also which dongle thing should I get (does it matter)?
advice appreciated0 -
The phone sales dept will try and tell you the offer is only valid if you have a phone contract running along side it....rubbish!
I have 4 weeks left to run and the sales guy was trying to flog me another contract, i refused and asked to be placed to the broadband team, i was then told if had nothing to do with the phone tarriff and is completely seperate contract. I said i would think about it.
I called today and did'nt mentioned the offer and was signed up without asking any details of my mobile contract, not even my mobile number, so anyone can get this with the right approach. Also there is a 10 quid accessory promo code you can get just by enquiring with the Live Sales assistant on there website. Hope this helps0 -
I agree with what is being said and it was somthing I was trying to get across in my post.
I think you could get away without having a Three contract.
I saw the offer on line and called Three. Of course at that point they knew I had a contract with them.
However, due to it being a new contract they would only deliver to my home address, not much good to me as I work away from home.
So, the next day I called into the local Three shop, said I had seen the half price Broadband deal on line, he confirmed it was back on.
I had signed up and had my dongle within 5 minutes, they just needed my debit card as proof of ID.
He never asked if I was an existing customer and no proof was requested, it never even came up in conversation.
If you did not have a contract it my, just may, flag up somewhere but I doubt it. Even if it did, if you have not been told it is for existing customers only, it is not your fault.
MartinBeen there, done that, now I want to do it cheaper!!0 -
 rang up the other day i am not on 3's network and was not given the choice just enquired and got told £15 however this evening they rang me and offered me the deal so getting it on 18 month contract 5gb new modem £7.50 a month.:D0

Got this yesterday - 5gb one. I am not a 3 customer but thought I would give it a try instore. Was immediately told it was for existing customers only but if I took out a £15 contract I could get it for that price. Managed to get it for £7.50 and the contract is only for 6 months so will probably won't renew it after that.Dream as if you'll live forever - live as if you'll die today0

I missed this offer from Three last time around. Got it this time! Thanks for the heads up OP.

i bought the pay as you go broadband on 3 for £20 couple of weeks ago on bid up, so worth watching, can check when its next on, online!! no contract.thou not sure what gb it is0

Also, keep in mind that if you have a friend on 3 network already, get them to recommend you and you'll both get £15 credit on your bills when you take the offer.

I presume this technology relies on the quality of the 3G reception in your home (or wherever you are using it)?
What happens if i sign up to the contract and then the reception and therefore Internet Connections Speed is prohibitive?
Any thoughts gratefully received.Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0 -

You can return it within 3 days if you buy it from a store, or 14 if you buy it online or through telesales.
