Hi,
I've been a bit behind with comps for the last month or so and am currently on page 110:eek:
Can someone please tell me what is going on with the Pickmeup comps?
was already replied to you when you asked in 'the inn' earlier

There's a big difference between marketing emails and SPAM and don't forget, if everyone opted out we wouldn't know about lots of the comps available. You can hear about some really good offers too.
Without this marketing type mail I wouldn't get to find half the comps that I put on here.Quite a few of my comp posts come from my daily papers/general surfing but lots come this way.
Postal type mailing I don't mind either.I feel ir keeps the posties busy. Not very green I know, but I do recycle lots of stuff, including paper:D0 -
Hi,
I've just started doing comps and was wondering which details should you give out and which shouldnt you?
I currently give out my name, addy and mobile num. I have, a couple of times, given out my DOB as i thought if i win and i've given a false one I may not win. But is this adviseable?
Many thanks.0 -
Yeah i got blown up once when i gave my DOB out...sorry i couldn't resist it;):pDarren0

What I have done is set my Roboform to enter with DOB as one digit wrong.Any queries and I'll blame it on my typing:D
In the thousands of comps I've entered in the past I've never had a problem. It may sound a bit silly but I also use my middle name when comping.Another security/data thing but also means I can sift my post to see what is comp related.Any parcel with my middle name always gets me thinking of prizes.
Get a seperate email for comping, and maybe a dedicated mobile(free sim in an old one ),Also I subscribe to the TPS service0 -

Hi everyone,
Just thought I'd share this with you. I emailed Pick Me Up and I've got this reply back:
Good afternoon and thanks for taking the time to write to us here at Pick Me Up.
I am genuinely concerned after reading your email as our intention was to improve our prize offering for our customers by adding loads more competitions. We have after all increased the volume from 30 a month to 120 a month.
In addition some advertisers were looking to interact more directly which is why we are testing this format. Our policy has not changed. The prizes are free to enter and your customer data is not shared with anyone, unless you opt in to receive more information on a specific product or service. This is not to spam.
It is a shame that you had a bad experience with another site, but please be assured that this free service is safe to use.
Let me know if you have any other questions or feel I have not answered your query full enough
