It's ******* and the prize is *****. I want to stress that the guy at ****** has been v.helpful and apologetic and I'm v.grateful for the win I just wonder how to take it forward or if I should just grin and bear it.
And in response to your comment -I have noticed quite a few of those lately. I think people tend to underestimate what A LOT of comps actually is. I know I did at the beginning.

Have they given you any idea how long it is likely to be? Always hard to say definitely, I guess you have to trust your judgement a bit. You could give it a couple of more weeks and then contact ISP perhaps?

    too many comps..not enough time!

Thanks chickaroonee, I think I prob will give it a couple more weeks. I don't want to kick up a fuss I just wasn't sure what to do to get things moving. Every time I ask the guy tells me he's been told it's going out today/tomorrow/this week. I think he's as frustrated as I am!

    Hope this works for you:
Right click on the picture and select PROPERTIES at the bottom
Highlight the ADDRESS(URL) and copy and paste it into the url box on the page where you edit your entry

    Does that make sense?

  • Hi everyone, I'd really appreciate some feedback here. I have sent the email you'll shortly read below, and had an auto-reply that the lady in question will be away from her office til Tuesday, so I don't expect to hear anything til then. Have I done the right thing? And also, if they don't do what the police said they should, should I go to that competitions complaints thing? Just that I don't want to alienate myself from that competition organiser, eg blow my chances of ever winning from them again....

Just been to my old house for the last time today, which resulted in me having to send this email to the lady from a certain company who owed me a prize...

    Dear ****,
I am very concerned that the prize may have been sent to the wrong address, despite you advising the PR of my current one. I am expecting another couple of prizes due by ROyal Mail, but I missed a UPS delivery at my old address. I rang to arrange redelivery to my current address but found it had been signed for by a ******. One of my former housemates is named ******* ******, and he is a habitual drug and alcohol abuser. I searched the entire property and he had not left it for me; he had indeed taken it. The tenancy expired today; I was there only to check for mail. My (now ex) landlord can provide his details to the police if they want but not to you or I as it's forbidden under data protection. I went to the police who gave me a crime reference number and the PC who dealt with me gave me all his details if you want to phone him to clarify but what he says is that I should expect to have a replacement sent to me at this address, and then the PR company can chase it up ith the police if they so wish. I am not and have never been friendly with ******* ******, as my landlords can testify, which is why I moved out n advance of my tenancy's end date. The police say I cannot press charges for theft as because I never had the item, it was not stolen from me. It was stolen from UPS/the PR company. I am available on my phone after 11am on Monday if you need anything else, including the crime reference and the name and collar number of the PC who helped me.
Kind regards and apologies for the inconveniences,
    ****** ******.

I think you've done the right thing FE. I hope they replace your lost prize as a good will gesture and maybe the police might be able to sort the theft out. Did someone actually sign for the parcel too?
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!

Looks a good email to me FE, but I wonder if you should also contact/info the UPS company as I would think its going to end up with them at fault.

But then again if its like Ebay, then possibly its down to the sender to contact them???
My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly :)
