Hi,
I only found this out yesterday by chance, this doesn't seem to be well publicised at present. Also details below of changes to Maxi.

It's fairly often stated around here
Personally I'll find the overall limit increase and the ability to easily transfer cash ISAs into stocks and shares ISAs a little more useful, but then that's just the way I am!I am a Chartered Financial Planner

It's not such a crazy thing to post - it really isn't all that well publicised.
Case in point... if you go to look at the Icesave ISA Martin's put in today's email, lo, no mention of the increased limit:
All you need to know about the Icesave Easy Access ISA:
.........- Start saving with just £1,000 and save up to £3,000 each tax year
My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
The increase is news to me. I bet most people only start to think about ISAs around this time of year anyway. As shown, even Martin hasn't noted it.

People who work in the 'finanace industry' should know all about the new limit, but I bet there are a lot of ordinary punters out there who are not aware.0
