DONT GO TO THE NIGHT TONIGHT
Unless you really need to and it was planned.
I sit here every day readin this thread and it's starting to get ridiculous now. I have no money and I'm still contemplating buying £40 worth of olay tonight just because of the points I worked out earlier.
So how about we stick together and we say NO I'm going to sort my head out and be confident and sensible and say NO I don't need anymore flipping boots points that I wont even spend because then I'll lose out on other points offers lol
The only way around it I can see is if youre going to buy £50 of nappies and wipes to stock up for christmas:D
WE CAN DO IT.. get off this thread and go somewhere else!!
I second that. Maybe after the christmas sales though"I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best." — Marilyn Monroepinkladymel wrote: »she hasn't lost the ol' Bootsing magic:D

The store I went to yesterday (Preston-in town) was just as bad no free samples or goody bags or anything, a lot of the items I wanted weren't instock either  so I came home & ordered online & ended up getting more points than I would have done if I'd got everything instore!

Remember the sales last year/this year. I dragged two toddlers out at 8am lol and then later on with the 90%! Everywhere I went I kept saying "oh I just need to pop into this boots" just incase they had some secret 90% off stock

I didn't go last night due to ill health, by the sound of it I only missed being trampled! I did order on line - bought what I wanted, didn't get quite the same points but saved money overall.
I shall save myself for the sales... by then my Boots stash should be smaller!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Wow,
these last posts have been inspiring. I don't think I will be going to the xmas event after all. It's really cold outside!! If there is a good chance there are no freebies to be had, then I won't part with any more money!! I'll just stay at home and back a cake!!
Bring back the glitches where everything was almost free! :j
Bring back the sales where it seems like Poundland in Boots!! :j
Can't wait till January!!
Back to studying. Thanks everyone for the inspiration!! And for saving me some money, had I gone!0 -
Bit of a cheeky question but does anyone have any spare gwp no.7 brush set i could swap for lots of vouchers. Vouchers would include 500 pts on olay, 200pts on max factor mascara 200pt on pantene 100pts on 17 foundation, £1 botanics plus any others i could find spare. I'm trying to get some things for our local hospital. Thanks:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boysWant to be fit for 30 not fat at 30but i want never gets!!!0

Thanks for your views folks!
I have already decided that I'm not placing the .com order..........
I am going to go mad and buy the mirror instore, spending the princely sum of £8.00 out of my £65.00 of points!
(I've already bought the grandkids Xmas pressies and some perfume from my points, and STILL got £65 left, oops)
You are SO right.......it is getting daft that I'm even thinking about spending £40 that I don't need to!
I'm not even going to try and get a £5.00 No7 voucher because (confession time!)...I've already had about 3 from spends in-store and have used them up so I'm now struggling to find anything to buy with the one I have left   - shame I can't use it to buy the mirror isn't it......
right, that's it, decision made.....NO MORE until the January sales, I'm saving my points (oh, and the pigsback vouchers I've just ordered  ) until then :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I too will sign the pledge. I'm not going to the special night, and at the w/end I (gulp!) USED POINTS to get my daughter a perfume gift set for Christmas. It didn't feel good, but I have been behaving ridiculously. Why do I want to hoard points? Bonkers!0 -
I have been sitting here laughing myself silly at all your posts you're all crackers.
Last year when I went to the christmas boots night (you might rememeber me posting about this actually) my husband who is in a wheelchair couldn't get anywhere because it was so packed and everyone was too ignorant to aknowledge he was there. Anyway, he went to wheel and cut his hand open on the stupid shelves. He embarrassed me loads by swearing at an old lady who had left massive bags all in the aisle and pretended she couldnt see him but his hand was bleeding. I phoned up the boots customer service and said I had been to a night and explained that they had packed so much stock out that it was useless for disabled and I wanted to place an order on .com and have 1000 points added (after I was already using codes too lol) and they said no so I asked for management and eventually got it.
I dont drink alcohol and the only thing I have ever seen at these nights is some wine or something and even then you have to practically pledge yourself not worthy to a member of staff to get one!
I can't pretend that Im not still refreshing this forum, working out deals and glitches involving presents that I don't even needBut I am trying to just feel happy for other peoples bargains and be interested in what everyone else has bought instead of totally green!
