its really great reading this thread. I am going to make a couple of hampers for xmas, I know this might sound like a silly question how do you keep everything in place without it falling everywhere. I was thinking of doing a makeup one for some of my daughters friends it will only contain about 4/5 items. The size of the baskets i was going to use are Baskets Round 6in x 4.

  • just thought i'd mention on here about the bargain i got in sainsburys today!

on an side/end aisle they had 54 gram taste the difference coffee bags/samples for only 25p and then on bogof! (that's equivalent to a normal size pack for only 50p - won't tell you how many i bought!).

they also had little biscuit packs, little bottles of olive oil, figs etc all on the same offer.

these would go great with the little boxes of different teas from home bargains also for 25p - you could do a great hamper for very little (am off back there tomorrow in fact)....

just thought i'd there that with you x

This is my first proper hamper (did a few mini ones last christmas, but forgot to take pictures  ).

    It's a Chocolate Pamper Hamper, for a 40th birthday :)

It all started with the mug - £1.20 in a charity shop but brand new - and grew from there. I'd only planned to fill the mug originally, lol.

    With that, there are;
12 assorted hot chocolate sachets - some on offer, some free samples.
a mini whisk (from a Wilkinsons 2 pack)
A pot of Cadburys chocolate curls
A 2 pack of posh chocolate biscuits (a la my earlier Sainsburys thread - might pick another pack up before I give her the hamper tomorrow)
A bag of Aero bubbles (free voucher from here)
    a Wispa Bar
2 large bars of Aero (bogof in the Co-op last week)
2 mini packs of Maltesers (left over from kids birthday party last month)
Next Chocolate bath bombs (thanks to the posters who crack the sale code each time)
Designer 'Triple Choc' bath duck (La Redoute discount code)
    DSCF0038.jpg
    3 Egyptian cotton flannels (wilkinsons)
Bath net (superdrug - thanks to all those who helped with that)
    Manicure set (Avon half price)
2 Mills & Boon books (free offer)

Including the hatbox (Kays summer sale - still got two smaller ones left for other hampers), tissue and card, it's a grand total of £24.90 - with an rrp of £49.82 :j

Now I've just got to hope she's not on a diet :D

your choclate hamper is really good, love the duck
