Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week when it comes to housework, or just the motivation to do the dreaded housework tasks you have to do, come and join us, hopefully make it a little easier. You never know, you might start to enjoy it!
Following requests to start things steadier for new members who did not realise the tasks list wasn’t a must do, just an encouragement. There will now be level 1, 2 and 3. Level 1 being very basic it has been requested that this is just one task per day, level 2 in the middle, up to 3 which is more advanced and time consuming. If you want to do level 2 you add the tasks on level 1 with the level 2 tasks, if you want to do level 3 you add the tasks on, easy peasy. Choose a level to aim for but be realistic, if you’ve got a busy day on or are just starting etc aim for level one, if you get higher then great, if not then not to worry its only suggestions. Every room comes back around next week. Trust me some days I'll only be doing level one myself.
THESE LISTS ARE ONLY SUGGESTIONS AND NOT A MUST DO LIST, ALWAYS WELCOME TO POST AND FOLLOW YOUR OWN.
Also adding a declutter mission each day. Another one where it’s up to you if you want to do it or if you need to. This follows requests from members who are looking to declutter. Fling boogies, hotspot clearing, cupboard sorts, drawer sorts etc will all be on this list. Any problems with this of any suggestions do please let me know.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are any areas which if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
27 Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a binbag and whizz around the house finding 27 items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
Ok here goes this week!

And how short do pencils have to be before they go up the vacuum cleaner?.. what can be flung? we are making room for those lovely new things Santa will be bringing soon if we are all being good boys and girls!!.. Thanks Pigpen. Its half term here AND hubby has the week off so b**** all chance of getting any flying done this week, and I probably wont get anywhere near the computer to update anyway!! Put up DS new bed yesterday, of course hubby thinks thats all there is to it - Ive spent today dismantling all the stuff not needed, like the play table and trying to find homes for all the things that have been displaced. Still, it has had a good bottoming, and the spare room looks a lot clearer. I am hoping to get all the stuff dropped at the charity shop this week, and make a trip to my brothers to get rid of all the stuff from when our parents died. I managed to shred an entire box of crud today, so if I can just get some books on amazon, I am starting to get somewhere. But will someone tell me why it has to get so much worse before it gets better!!???!
Oh, and if anyone has a mo, can you tell me how to strike through things when they are completed cos I havent got a clue.
And lil me, when you get back online a big WELL DONE - you have worked so hard and now you are in. May you and your family have many happy years in your new home (and dont get broody or you may have to move again!!!!!!!)

HAHA!! knew I'd catch someone out.. the only thing I am predictable for is being unpredicatable!!
.. I haven't gone back to the old regime either so don't rely on it being the same! I preferred doing the living room on a Monday too.. but as it's half term I'll get very little done anyway.. so we shall have to see what next week brings!!
I've got 15 things listed on turbolister so far tonight.. aiming to get a few of my sisters bits listed now.. a kidney, a lung... ok ok.. I'm joking.. I mean clothing.. so if anyone is way too skinny (8-10-12) they need to check out my listings for some bargainous pretties! Boys stuff is all ready to upload.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Thanks for the new thread Pigpen
Tomorrow will have to wait job wise unless I can get them done during my dailies session - DD is off to OH's parents place, but with a twist to the usual arrangementsThe plan in theory is OH will take DD's suitcase in the car with him tomorrow morning so I don't have to try and drag it with us. Then I'm taking DD shopping for a couple of comics and then taking her to the train station to get the train to Wigan (where OH works), then I'll take her for lunch somewhere and then walk her some or all of the way to Orrell (where OHs actual work is) and then we'll drive to Barrow after OH finishes work :rotfl: I would have taken her all the way to Barrow, but it seemed pointless to pay out the trainfare when OH is already half-way there and would be driving up anyway. IL's will be providing tea, and then OH and I will head back home in the car. I have no idea what time we're leaving at either end of the journey :rotfl:
Right, I need to finish the ironing ASAP as I'm shatteredSee you all tomorrow
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Evening all
I'm in this week, but will have a slow start as working mon/tues then off with the kids for the rest of the week so hope to fit in flying around everything else.
Had a really good day today with DD. She did all her chores and tidied her bedroom by 11 oclock so I didnt have to nag her, and we did things like took the dog to the park so she could go on the swings and then shopped together. And we had our roast tea early so we could have a pig out and watched Ugly Betty which we recorded from Friday, so 2 very happy (and stuffed) bunnys tonight.
Just got to take in some trousers now which I want for work tomorrow which hopefully wont take too long then an early night for me.
And going back to the last weeks thread, I'd be happy to have you as my friend pigpen. I know what you mean sometimes about just wanting to go and have a coffee and a gossip. I think as you get older you have fewer friends but they're a better quality, and if I lived closer to you I'd be round every day - you are an amazing woman with a fantastic family and you make my life seem normal :rotfl: . You have an incredible ability to make us all laugh with your antics, and although the flylady thread is brilliant it wouldnt be half what it is without you :TMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0
