Ah, sorry about that, I looked for another thread and where to post this one but I failed miserably, mine probably got more replies because it was in a busy part of the forum, rather than here which I didn't find!

I had to give up last night as it was barely usuable for me, however whether that is the site or my Virgin broadband (supposedly 8mg...but I think not!) I'm not sure. However i could still use all the other big sites like ebay and hotmail.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. It's ok reading the site for me but there is a huge slow down on trying to type a post into this blinkin box and I can't see what's written and have to way 5 mins for it all to appear before I can click the post reply - quick reply? I don't think so!!!
I can type at 60+ words a minute but may as well type with one finger for the time it takes to catch up!!
Going to stop posting now.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
I sent this e-mail to the Moneysavingexpert team on the 20th of July 07.
Hi,
I have noticed the past week or so this site is getting slower and slower. Clicking onto a link it often takes a long time to open or it doesn't and I get a "timed out message".
Today, at around 1600 hrs I can't get any link to open. Every link I click on gets timed out.
Pages on all other sites I visit open just about instantaneously, so I believe there's nothing wrong with my setup here.
Got this reply
Hi,
Thanks for your email. I'm not aware of any problems our end, are you still experiencing these problems? Let me know and I will involve our Technical Team.
Kind Regards,

As it still wasn't working properly I sent another e-mail.
Hi,
It's still not working properly for me. I was trying to access your website today at 1743 hrs without success.
I keep getting the message The Connection Has Timed out. The server at forums Moneysavingexpert.com is taking too long to respond.
I have tried with both Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer and get the same message.
All other sites on the web that I visited today work 100% without a problem.
Kind Regards,
I am still getting the same problems so the site has not been fixed yet and now other people are noticing this slowness.
Please, instead of posting your dissatisfaction here, on the forum, where I don't suppose it's ever gets read by the powers that be, instead, e-mail direct to the Moneysavingexpert Team pointing out the problem. The more that do so, hopefully, something will be done.0 -
Hi folks,
Let me assure you that we're well aware of the slowness reports. We get thousands of e-mails a day to Webmaster and Furtherhelp adresses but as a high percentage of those e-mails are spam, we also keep an eye on these threads to help us maintain awareness.
You can, of course, e-mail webmaster if you have a problem but posting in here can often be more useful as we can provide answers that can read by many people instead of a single reply to an e-mail (and there's less chance of it getting lost amongst all that spam).
As we've mentioned in other threads of this type, we need more information please. Just saying it's slow isn't particularly meaningful and doesn't help us track down issues.
So, it would be very helpful if you include in your post:
Details of slowness (time it takes to load a page or if it loads at all)
Time of slowness
your general area (City, county etc)
your ISP
your connection speed
Please note sometimes that we may expect a heavier load on the servers, such as:
Wednesday (all day) - the weekly Tip goes and we get many more thousands on the Forum from 9am until 11pm (ish)
Every night around midnight - the backups of the site begin so we can go for a few minutes where server resources are limited.
We're continuously trying to improve the level of service here at MSE and your feedback is helpful and welcome but we're a small team and we've many projects going at once so please bear with us.
Thanks,
Webby0
