- Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week when it comes to housework, or just the motivation to do the dreaded housework tasks you have to do, come and join us, hopefully make it a little easier. You never know, you might start to enjoy it!
Following requests to start things steadier for new members who did not realise the tasks list wasn’t a must do, just an encouragement. There will now be level 1, 2 and 3. Level 1 being very basic it has been requested that this is just one task per day, level 2 in the middle, up to 3 which is more advanced and time consuming. If you want to do level 2 you add the tasks on level 1 with the level 2 tasks, if you want to do level 3 you add the tasks on, easy peasy. Choose a level to aim for but be realistic, if you’ve got a busy day on or are just starting etc aim for level one, if you get higher then great, if not then not to worry its only suggestions. Every room comes back around next week. Trust me some days I'll only be doing level one myself- THESE LISTS ARE ONLY SUGGESTIONS AND NOT A MUST DO LIST, ALWAYS WELCOME TO POST AND FOLLOW YOUR OWN.
Also adding a declutter mission each day. Another one where it’s up to you if you want to do it or if you need to. This follows requests from members who are looking to declutter. Fling boogies, hotspot clearing, cupboard sorts, drawer sorts etc will all be on this list. Any problems with this of any suggestions do please let me know.A few of the basics before we start the week - Hotspots are any areas which if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
- Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc
- Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
- 27 Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a binbag and whizz around the house finding 27 items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis- Ok here goes this week!

O.K I am going to take the plung here.
I am sick of running myself ragged and not seeming to get anywhere.
My problem is that I try to do too much at once and never seem to get anything finished.
At the moment I am trying to decorate the girls bedroom, tidy garden and find the house again after the summer holidays
Hopefully, by following the routine on here, I might actually make some progress.
I will try for level one to start with and add in a few extras.
So Monday will (hopefully) be:
DW
WM
Hang out washing or TD

Evening all,
Gosh I am stuffed! We had hubby's young cousin across for a late lunch - moroccan lamb casserole followed by crumble. I think I'm going to explode - it's a good job we're off to the gym later.
Count me in for this week, I will be trying to do stuff when I get home in the evenings, so I will be on the look-out for 30 minute challenge partners (Solwaykid are you there?)
Pigpen - have you been spying on my kitchen and finding all the tasks I've been putting off?! Tomorrow's list certain reads as if you have inside information!!
Welcome to Peaches and Merlot (which sounds like a good combo) and Sproggi, I hope you'll find this forum useful, as well as entertaining.
Lil_me: How has Sunday panned out? Not too bad I hope.
I might pop in later, otherwise I'll be back tomorrow. Have a good week everyone,
7WW0 -
Thanks for the new thread pigpen.
I'm so pleased I cleared all our ironing here this morning! :j
Didn't manage to get out in the garden and do the gravel shifting job as a friend came round and we chatted and drank tea instead!
Baked some banana flapjacks today for packed lunches this week. yummy and so quick to do.
Just going to do DS's lunch for school tomorrow whilst tea is cooking and then I'll be done.
Welcome to all newbies, hope you enjoy your time here, it's great. :T...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

Okay - I'm going to be in on this week better than I was last. No putting it off. If it's on the list and its needs to be done then it will be done, unless my leg or something falls off :rotfl:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0

Hi guys, welcome newbies.
Really going to try harder this week. All is quite stressed in the dusty household and the place is a tip. Not got much time this week so I really need to use what I do have wisely. I'll be ironing tonight so thanks for that Pigpen. The fridge is almost bear so that won't take long - oh god pack lunches will not be fun!
You'll find me late tonight tossing empty bottles into the ocean - no not going on a bender just taking a trip down memory lane with Wanty et al - join us if you want, it can be a giggle - the thread should be near the front page I expect. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Thanks for the new thread Pigpen, I was hoping I hadn't done everything already what with redecorating and whatnot (OK, I was hoping I HAD..) but my junk drawer does need doing and unfortunately for me so does the oven. Boooo.
7WW, yup, I'll be about between 6.30 and 9 every evening for the housework sprint! I'll watch out for you -and any other full-time 'out of the housers' who struggle too.
Welcome to the thread Sproggi and last weeks newbies who've made it across.
Butterbean chorizo stew in the oven and dough being doughed for my attempt at whatever it's called! Going to do my meal plan now and update my spends.
Maybe pop back later but I promise I won't make a head start!One debt v 100 days Part 14 £400/£400

I'm off work for the next two weeks. We're not going away but hoping to have a few days out, so I might not always do the right stuff on the right days but I'm hoping to keep things fairly well under control!0
