Just been in Matalan and brought twon lovely winter scarves, one pink £6 to £1.25 and one cream £6 to £1.50 - these will go in mums and MIL hampers. Also brought my sister some PJ's half priced to £6.

Got a few bargins at the weekend from Boots again. A Olay tinted moistuiser reduced to £2.50 and 2 packs of Time Delay face wipes - free as used the skincare vouchers. Also brought two small blue 'leather look' photo albums - ideal for handbags and will pics of DS in. All these are for mums/mil hampers - will have to get everything together and look through it all as I'm picking up quite a few bits for them now.

Not sure if its been mentioned before (sorry if it has) but Au Natural has got 20% off all its storage incl. wicker baskets/boxes, etc - ideal for hampers.

to all those who requested the xmas pudding recipe - and pm'd me for it - it will be coming! Our main computer has gone *boom*, the motherboard has gone, and my OH is going to be getting a new one and sorting it all out tomorrow. With luck we'll be properly back online in a few days, at which point i'll email out the recipes. We're operating from a rather jerry rigged system atm and god knows how long it'll last!!!

see you all in a couple days. (hopefully). xx

Hi, I have nearly finished 2 hampers for coffee lovers - they include mugs, milk frothers, coffee embroidered tea towels, coffee recipe book, Whittard festive coffees (reduced, of course), Cappucinos. Still to buy after dinner mints, biscuits for coffee and make scottish tablet and truffles. Anybody have any more ideas ? Thanks

Coasters? My sister bought some fabric ones from a craft fair that had been scented with cinnamon so that when a warm cup was placed on them they released the aroma.

How about the caramel waffles I recommended in an earlier post. Just as delish on top of a cup of coffee as on tea. I love them!

Sounds like you've already made up a lovely hamper by the things you've bought.

I admit it...I went to Harrods this afternoon and wandered round the Christmas department to get my "fix"!! :xmastree:

Found some lovely cards at £9.95 for a box of 10, beautiful christmas baubles for the tree at £16.95 each, and I just couldn't decide between 2 boxes of 8 crackers for the dinner table, one priced at £59.95 and the other at £99.95...

Needless to say, I wandered all around, hummed along to the festive music, enjoyed looking at it all...and bought absolutely nothing! :snow_grin

But I really enjoyed my little outing - it definitely got me into the festive mood! :D

    Piglet

P.S. Obviously there were cheaper versions of all the things I mention above - I just have excellent taste ;) (and not enough cash!! ).
