breaking news: One Stop Phone Shop is NOT closing down

Mobile Today has just this morning published a news story claiming that One Stop Phone Shop are closing down:

Before anyone panics about the status of their outstanding cashback arrangements with this company, I can confirm that I have received confirmation from someone in authority that Mobile Today has rather overblown the situation.
Despite what is reported by Mobile Today, all that is happening is that the E2Save and OSPS operations are being merged behind the scenes - something that I really would have expected to have happened far sooner than it actually did.
The redundancies reported in the press are no more than the expected cost-saving ones when merging two near-identical operations (although that is still little comfort to those within OSPS for whom alternative posts cannot be found).
OSPS will continue to operate as a separate online brand and nothing whatsoever has changed wrt either existing customer cashback agreements or future online sales.

Perhaps mod could amalgamate threads.
Note.
I have now amended my post in view of Reestits info.0 -
Bump!
The underlying message of this thread needs to be repeated...OSPS is ***NOT*** closing down, it is simply merging a lot of its back-office functions with E2Save's (and not before time, if you ask me).
OSPS will continue to live on as a separate online brand.

I have just checked e2save's website as I have to send off a cashback claim. They are now showing the OSPS address in Crewe to send cashback claims to rather than the Dunstable one....Jertzy x

I know. The manager from Onestop also moved across to take over at E2Save a month ago, or so I was told.0

from my personal experience OSPS have been better at cashback than e2save so hopefully this should improve things...unless they get overwhelmed...!!Jertzy x
